Oh God There's The Yeti! - Siblings do Disney 2014 *update 9/16*

The cake and cupcakes are awesome especially knowing that the cake was hand piped! That takes some serious talent.

Yay 35 days out!

They do some pretty impressive stuff! I'll have to try and find the little mermaid pull apart we did a few months ago.

Jumped on last night! This will be the first trip report I follow. I'm heading to the world NEXT September with my sis and our mom. We haven't been together in almost 10 years. We're going to MNSSHP for the very first time so I'm SUPER looking forward to how your sibling trip goes! Can't wait to see!

Oh welcome! It's my first report so I hope I keep you entertained! I wish I were planning a trip for next year, I'm jealous!

I wish I still had my photo (it came through my store) because it wasn't at an angle. From straight above her face looked perfect! From this angle it looks kind of wonky.

Same with this one, straight on it looked great! This angle a bit funky but still impressive. (though I don't know why she cut off her hand. I think maybe it was the size of the order)

Thank you! I went casual last year (not my original plan!) and it was so great, I only regretted wearing flats instead of sneakers.

Now just to find the right polish! Purple isn't a colour I typically purchase! (I buy a lot of blue if you can believe it )

I keep going back and forth on Memory Maker. I like the idea, I really do but I just don't know if I want to/can shell out the money for it right now. Part of me wants to save that money for souvenirs, even though I typically don't buy a lot of them. I can buy photos later, we can still take all the photos we want. I don't think we'll buy more 10? Maybe not even that many!

On that note, flights haven't gotten any cheaper! They've gone up! I'm confident they'll get below $200 still. I set up a daily price alert and I'll just have to actually look at what they are every day. Worst case scenario we have to purchase an earlier flight and don't get to do a park on our last day.

Just a bit of rambling for me tonight, I've got to attempt some sleep now. I've been trying to ween myself off of watching tv while I go to bed but it isn't working so well.

Slight change of plans! The extending of the Frozen Summer thing got me re-thinking our Sunday the 14th (departure day) DHS plans. I wanted to change them just in general but then looking at the easywdw.com crowd calander it looks like he changed DHS to least recommended park.

The first was MK and the second was AK. We chose AK over MK as we're already going to MK three times. We're going to Epcot twice and Animal Kingdom once so that's basically how we made that decision. It'll be nice since AK closes so early and we love it! Looks like we may be doing rd for studios!

Now the struggle to find a later flight for less than $200/person! I still have hope, though I'm not holding out for much less than $180/person. (Good thing I got a raise not too long ago eh?)

I have a few photos of some Disney cakes we had this weekend coming up. (Probably when I get home)

We had the same dilemma; do we spend the $150 ahead of time and just try and get our monies worth? We decided to do it cause we figured we'd have at least 5 good ride photos we'd want. With those being at least $20 a pop it'd pay for itself!

I was in Florida for 15 days, and the longest day was Busch, but I don't feel like I gave any single park enough of my time. I think I need a solo trip!

Hello everyone! We're back from our vacation with 23 days out (well after midnight it'll be 23) and that seems like so so so long from now! While I was gone our Magic Bands arrived so I put on our decals. I'll add some photos soon but I just wanted to pop in and say hello!

Hello! Vacation was a lot of fun. We got some things we needed from Ikea (sadly we don't have Ikea in Indiana), Spent way too much money at Jungle Jim's, had a fun time riding coasters and spending time at the water park. We also went to the Cincinnati Zoo and it turned out to be a really nice zoo! We have a pretty good zoo but it's not terribly big.

We were very ready to get home and see the dogs yesterday and luckily Cincinnati is only a 2.5 hour drive. I am eternally grateful my brother was able to take care of them. He'll be off to college next year! Hopefully not before we can get in our vacation though.

Here's my list I've had on my phone for a long time! It's almost finished! Tomorrow is our BOG reservation day, I'll probably make it when I get to work, shooting for an earlier reservation in hopes we can sit in TWW! I don't know what food to choose. I know we can pick when we get there, I'd rather order ahead.

Our magic bands arrived while I was gone and I didn't waste any time putting our My Fantasy Band decals on them. Honestly putting them on was a bit of a hassel. You have to get it on straight and then make sure you don't get any air bubbles. This morning I went to take a photo and they had come off a little. I am a little concerned with their longevity, we'll see!

Unfortunately Erin essentially got a cease and desist letter from Disney (as did other people making designs for Magic Bands) so these designs are no longer available. She had to start over but what she's offering looks great!

WE GOT A RETURN FLIGHT! I found one for under $200/person. I got one for a little after 6 which means we have until 2:00-ish for park time before we need to head back. Anything later was just much more expensive and the price had not dropped at all!

My only worry is I got a confirmation from the website I used but not from the airline. I'm hoping the price was legit. I tried to book one on Kayak and it said the flight was no longer offered at that price and the real price was more than $200/person. I was going to bite the bullet and buy MemoryMaker but I don't want the price to go up or we have to re-book at a higher price. ETA!: I just got an actual airline confirmation with what I booked so we're good to go!

There are a lot of people making money off more blatantly ripped Disney themed merchandise...but I understand as well! Rumor has it Disney has something like this in the works because they've seen how popular they are!

I made our BOG reservation! I got 10:30-11:30 (I think? I remember it was early. Took a screen shot but it's on my laptop at home) and I preordered our meals. I chose the carved turkey and roast beef sandwiches with two cupcakes (triple chocolate and the masters one?)

I also booked memory maker yesterday. It led to me canceling the Tokyo dining reservation. I'd like to try and use all of our dining credits and a table service meal will get in the way of that! (Plus that place is not cheap!)

Now we wait!

hiii just joining in! this seems like it's going to be such a fun trip! I love your costume idea, I think the subtle/casual costumes will be super cute, and much more practical than a big elaborate one.

Also I LOVE the cakes you've been posting pictures of! The Ariel one is so so amazing!
