Oh for goodness' sake!

I spent a while setting up the water feature given to me as a birthday present yesterday......... couldn't understand why although the pump was working - the water wan't going up the water hose and out through the place it's supposed to go ( It looks like an old fashioned hand-pump). Anyway, DH comes home and says perhaps if you connect the pump to said water hose you'll have better luck ( Oh all right ! I was never good at physics )

Now this thing works via a solar panel so when the sun deigned to appear yesterday evening, it trickled away quite happily - fine!

So this morning we have a beautiful sunny day - but now, the sun has been shining (halleluya!) on the solar panel so strongly that the water is really coming out at a pace, missing the pond bit, and spurting over the sides.......... for goodness sake

Oh dear! Dont you just hate when that happens - your husband comes home and just states the obvious that has been staring you in the face all afternoon???? {{{Hugs}}} from one who totally can relate to that! LOL

As for the water over the side of the pond? - put your cossie on and enjoy!

Janice - when I say pond bit, I don't mean POND LOL!!....... it is a water feature! I suppose I could soak my feet

I have now partially shaded the solar panel to control the water flow........ how's that ??

LOL Shirley isn't this always the way - enjoy your water - besides I don't even have any water in my garden and I've been sitting outside with my costume and sarong on!! If I close my eyes I really can imagine I'm at Stormalong Bay!

Perhaps you could put some nice pond plants next to it so that they enjoy the waterfall

Sun's just coming through here now (been misty on the coast up until now) so think Katie and I might venture down the beach hut now (Between you and me I'm beginning to quite enjoy my role as Lady of Leisure, but don't tell Darryl or he'll start getting panicky ). Tee hee

LOL, Shirley. I wouldn't want the job of trying to market a solar powered water feature (or solar powered anything for that matter!) in the UK!

Just look on the bright side Shirley at least your garden won't ever get flooded by your water feature, by torrential summer rain maybe but water feature, not
