As I was walking into work today, I spotted some plastic packaging on the ground. I picked it up and it turned out to be one of the 'toys' from our latest round of thingummies at work. This month, in honor of Halloween, we had 'Gross Out Lollipops'. You would recieve a lollipop with a lollipop holder that consisted of one of four truly disgusting things:
a headless turtle
a headless iguana
a glow-in-the-dark neon red squid
OR
a giant black/gold scorpion
I had found the unwanted, lonely castoff squid somebody had dropped on the ground. I felt sorry for the little guy. It wasn't his fault the plastics company made him totally hideous. Squid are not cute and fuzzy. Not exactly something you'd want to take home as a pet.
At the beak end of this squid, there was a smallish, round hole about 1/4 in deep. Using my car keys and a pen, I was able to make the hole a little deeper. I took my faded Mickey antenna topper (sorry Mickey!)off and replaced it with the squid (now called Squidbert).
The drive home was amazing..the antenna whipping in the wind,Squidbert just kinda..well..sitting there doing his squiddy thing. I got the giggles watching people in the rearview point and go "
Oh dear lord. What is that..THING?!?!?!?".
I decided the hole needed to be deeper once I got home so I used DH's electric screwdriver (sssh..don't tell him!)to make it deep enough where Squidbert's whole body fits onto my antenna.
Here's a picture I took of it once I finally got it to fit right.

And even if they do, they might not have any more of the 'Gross Outs' left, as they were strictly for the month of October. In Nov, I think we have these dinosaur thingies that look like robots or something.
