Thanks! I'm sure it will be. As I think about it what I liked best (other than the TSM meet) were the smaller meets with people I'd been chatting with online. So things like that can still be coordinated... it'll just be a little more work. I'm sure it will all work out! And I still have Sept and April!!!

The Osborne lights look so beautiful. I'm so bummed they didn't show them the week before Thanksgiving when I was there. I love the pictures of you and Heather.

Can't wait to hear about the Party!!!!!

I got the mousefest email too! I was very bummed as our trip in December was supposed to be right around that time! Oh well....

Love the Osborne lights! now come on with the TSM party!!!!

The MouseFest news is really sad. I too was planning on being there then. The silver lining for me is that I would usually like to travel a little earlier in December so will have more freedom in that regard. Given the number of people and groups involved, I imagine that there is good potential for a more informal set of meets and activities to evolve if there are still lots of people traveling at that time.

It looks like you and Heather had a balst. I knew you would get along!

I am brokenhearted about Mousfest, but like Heather said it will free us up to go down a little earlier in December (get to be there on my actual birthday) and we can make our own meets if we want.(as long as we don't call it Mousefest) I'm pushing for an Off Kilter singalong......

So this is totally my favorite chapter so far! Not only did you see the Osbourne Lights, but you had some of my favorite things at the Brown Derby! I'm in heaven! :cloud9: Thanks for taking those first food porn pictures. I really, really appreciate it, and may have even salivated a little. :::sigh::: ;)

They are spectacular. I'm sorry they weren't showing them that week for you too. But as someone else said, now you have a reason to go back!! You won't have to wait longer than a week for the TSM update. I'll try for sooner.

Based on the other postings I've seen sounds like a lot of people will still plan to attend in that timeframe and do unofficial events. The awesome people of the DIS have said they intend to do something a la the TSM event but they don't know what yet. :thumbsup2

I'm getting to the update... I promise. :goodvibes

Well, glad there is a silver lining for you. Although I was looking forward to seeing you again. We'll just have to plan a visit for a different time. Like April 2010, perhaps?? :)

We did have a great time! And thank you for the introduction. I believe it was you who sent me over to her TR! I think an Off Kilter sing along would be great. Although I still haven't heard an entire set from them.

Sorry! But I was laughing and asking! No, I really can't place them...

:faint: Can't place them??? :scared1: Maybe it is a U.S. thing. And I think I'm a bit older than you are. The Wonder Twins were part of the SuperFriends Saturday morning cartoon with all the superheroes. Here's their photo:

To access their powers they would bump knuckles and say "Wonder twin powers, activate. Form of ____" and they could take the form of whatever object they had said.

If you didn't watch this growing up, you missed out! :rotfl:

Wow! Your favorite? It was a really nice evening. Brown Derby and Osborne Lights (minus the crowds) are a powerful combo! And to think it got even better with the TSM party!!!

It could have been a U.S. thing...:confused3 But I can say now that I honestly don't think I've ever heard of them! Huh! I guess I did miss out! My favourite Saturday morning cartoon was She'ra and My Little Pony!

I loved the Wonder Twins!!! Apparently, so did Charles because for years we have bumped knuckles and come up with the craziest things! :rotfl:

I think we're slightly different generations of cartoons! :rotfl: But you definitely missed out.

Thank goodness! Another Wonder Twins fan!! Bumping knuckles is now very "cool" and I hadn't thought about the Wonder Twins reference until just now. Everything comes back around again.

Remember their pet monkey??

Yes!!! Wasn't he purple or blue or some color not really found in nature and named Gleek or something like that?

THE WONDER TWINS!! Awww that picture brought up memories...I still watch them on Boomerang at night all the time!! I love the classic cartoons (I was going to say old, but I don't want to get beat up by anyone or date myself LOL)

If my memory is correct, they couldn't take the form of ANYTHING. One of them always became an animal of some form and the other took some form of water (why water? I don't know) I could be totally off on that because I certainly didn't remember Gleek (but that sure does sound right)

I must admit, I had to go visit the DL website after reading Heather's description of the Grand Californian. OMG is that GORGEOUS!!! I absolutely love arts and crafts style and it is amazing!! Now I think I may have the desire to go there someday (yep, add it to the list)

Connor would get such a kick out of them -- he loves superheroes of any sort.
I bet he's going to love the new Kim Possible game around Epcot! :thumbsup2

Good call there, Jen. ;)

I think you're right, Katie! Good memory!! I agree, Grand Californian sounds divine. When I went I stayed at Disneyland Hotel but it is very cool to leave the hotel and be right in Downtown Disney and steps from the park! Good addition to your list!! :)

I loved your Osborne lights pictures! They are really beautiful!!! I can't wait to see them in December! :woohoo:

The Cobb Salad looks amaaaaaaaaaazing. Yum, yum, yum.

Well, I just received a very sad email regarding the Mousefest event. It is not happening in 2009. :sad1:

Oh man! That is so sad! We planned our December trip around this and a shuttle launch. :guilty: But, I do understand why - I can't imagine planning something of that size. Good for Dave for realizing he needed to focus on his family!

Thanks. I was looking forward to it. There was a post on the DIS Unplugged page that teases that maybe they'll still do an event even if there is no Mousefest. :thumbsup2

Ooooh, I'll have to go check that out!
