Magical indeed! It wasn't the busiest savannah and I could see the construction but as an unexpected surprise it was fantastic!

I just caught up, hon. I love reading about your trip. You sound like you so much fun drinking around the World at night! I wish I could hold enough liquor to do that, but sadly, although I'm a , I'm not so good at the drinking bit yet. What I wouldn't give for a margarita from Mexico or a glass of champagne right now.

Me too. There's a lot of training involved in being able to drink that much. It's a commitment. Like training for a marathon. But more fun.

I know! I wish I had more time there and less on the agenda so I could have spent more time on the balcony. I found the busiest time in terms of animal activity to be late afternoon.

Hey! You mentioned us!! Mega Mouse Meet is overwhelming. I usually let Chuck go around and I just kind of wander talking to people. I always meet such cool people there! It was especillay cool to meet you!


Chuck got me the Trivia calender while we were there. I've got it right where I can look at it when I wash dishes, next to my Mary Engelbreit one.

I so love AKL. Chuck and I were there later that night just to walk around and soak up the atmosphere. I want to stay there again. It is the most relaxed I have ever been at WDW.

Thank you for indulging me and letting me relive the trip. I am in serious Disney withdrawal with 8 months to go until my next trip!

The lobby and the view from my room were both gorgeous. And wait til you see the room interior... equally gorgeous!

Thanks. I think there is a little bar at Jiko so that might be more fun for a solo dinner? You get to watch the chefs and I've heard they even share goodies with you! Although I don't think I'd be uncomfortable in there dining alone at a table either. And it is yummy! I have food porn from there too coming up in a future chapter!

I am trying to stay strong! Although last night Charles said something about not liking sand, and I jumped all over that thinking it would be my justification for switching to AKL because of the BC pool -- but Charles wasn't buying that.

The Mousefest seems like something I would be overwelmed with, too, but sounds like you made the best of things and met some very cool people! And good for you for resisting the "stuff" you can pick up, I always take that stuff and get home and wonder what I'm going to do with it!! AND the pics of AKL!!!!!!!!! OMG and the upgrade to a savannah room and a king size bed, nice!!! Great pics and can't wait to hear more!!!

Jackie, you are incorrigible! I'm glad secret-Disney-lover-Charles didn't let you get away with that. You will like BC! I know it!! Repeat after me: walk to Epcot; walk to DHS; Beaches n' Cream; Stormalong Bay; movies on the beach (Charles may need to skip those due to sand )

You could have knocked me over with a feather on the upgrade. But I was afraid to really react or she'd take it away! I'm no food porn expert but I do have quite a few pics coming up: Brown Derby, Chefs, Jiko, Figaro Fries... now I'm hungry!!

You know what is even worse??? One of my best friends is headed down there in March for a cheerleading competition and her husband wants to stay at AKL. I don't know if I can handle that!!!

I know we will love Beach Club, but my heart will always belong to AKL.

I may have to buy DVC there just to ensure that I can stay there at some point in my life.

Well that makes perfect sense to me. You should go for it! Or at least do the tour. You got a $100 gift card for your trouble when I was there (at least when staying at a deluxe).
