Oh Come All Ye Faithful... DIS TR Addicts... UPDATE 4/19

I love the Pooh lights! Oh my gosh, they are so cute. I can't believe I didn't seem them, I even went to that store! :headache:

I love your blurry pic. :rotfl:

There's always next time, LL. That's the beauty of it. :)

Glad you like the margarita induced photography.

You were an updating machine today, Christine!!!

Beautiful sunny shots at Pop!

Saratoga is much prettier than I thought -- hmmm, maybe I should think about staying there sometime...:rolleyes1

Shopping at DtD is always fun -- what a strange incident with the little boy and Cinderella...:confused3

Thanks! I thought the same thing re: Saratoga. Doesn't seem to get a whole lot of lovin' here on the boards (at least in my travels). I was very pleasantly surprised. I liked it a lot. And it would be nice to walk over to Downtown Disney....:rolleyes1

The little boy and Cinderella was VERY odd... I shoulda taken a picture!

Hi Christine!!

I'm glad i got a chance to read all your updates today:goodvibes

I think that DVC will be great 4 U, regardless of how you go about doing it... resale, direct, small contract, midsized...whatev:thumbsup2 I loved visiting the DVC center at SSR... they are really good about answering every question and NOT making you feel pressured at all about buying.:goodvibes

They didn't give you magic fastpasses huh??:confused3 I thought they were such an easy cool perk... I loved them, and it cost Disney nothing to give them.

I liked all your pics... including the loopy one:laughing:

Thanks! :goodvibes I'm kinda tired of you having to work and not being able to DIS enough. Can you do something about that? ;)

I think I had the option of choosing b/w the gift card and the fast pass. Since I'm not a big ride person (:scared: ) I chose the "cash."

Thanks. That's a compliment from a great photographer like you! :goodvibes

Well, you just spoiled me with updates, now didn't you? :lmao:

I don't even know what to comment on first.

When you wrote about the sunshine, I got that "Here comes the sun, little darlin'" song stuck in my head. :lmao:

Thanks for writing so much about the DVC presentation. I've never done it, but have always been intrigued.

I'm glad you had such a great time at Downtown Disney. Honestly, I find it to be very relaxing there. A real take your time and enjoy yourself kind of place. What great photos you give us! Keep it coming! :goodvibes

yay updates!!! Love all your pictures hehehe even the loopy one! Sounds like you had a good time on the DVC tour. What a great feature for BLT...sitting in your tub watching the fireworks. Very cool! Looking forward to more!

i'm so far behind!!! you shouldn't do so many updates when i'm not working!! :lmao:

Oh i want that mouse!! Too cute!! you are so responsible for not buying DVC. I couldn't do it. that's why we haven''t done the tour! i wouldn't be able to not buy into it!!

ya know...when we went in Dec 05 and stayed at Pop...the Pop Warner kids were there then too! :headache: I agree a bit more adult supervision would be good.

Great updates Christine!

And thank you so much for all those lovely pictures with the Christmas decorations...especially DTD. I got so excited seeing all those shop photos with the Christmas decorations and merchandise. My favourite one was the photo of the red poinsetta plants hanging outside Basin. It's beautiful!

I just can't wait to experience WDW for the 1st time at Christmas! Til then, I am so happy to be following along with you on your TR!:goodvibes

Sorry - I was on a roll today! That mouse is cool! I'm not sure I'd characterize myself as responsible. Just a rare moment of clarity!

The holiday decorations are pure magic! :santa:

Elf eeyore... I'm trying to remember if I saw him. I bet he was cute!! Hey- is that ticker in your signature new?

I do have a new ticker. :goodvibes
I attend a big veterinary continuing education meeting in Orlando every January. It it held at the Marriott, which is so right down the road from Disney World that I usually stay at the World and commute to the meetings. I get to be in a warm(er) place than Seattle and enjoy being in the World even though I'm working. I was able to add a couple of days onto this trip so I'll have a little play time too!

Our snow finally melted but only after it snowed almost every day for a whole week, which it never does here. It was incredibly beautiful and very inconvenient.

Happy New Year everyone!

That sounds like fun! Wow... two weeks and you are back in the World (and hopefully warm weather). Enjoy!!

Great update and great photos of Downtown Disney. The blurry one is pretty funny. :rotfl: I would love to try T-Rex on our next trip...it looked pretty cool!

Every time I try to comment my dumb keyboard kicks me back three pages! GRRR! It almost did it just now!

Great updates, C! LOVE all the pix. Dislike BLT- also love the sandwich.... and um.... laughed at the blurred pix. Crazy girl.

T Rex does look cool. Hopefully the crowds will die down a bit to make it more manageable. Although as I write that, I am thinking of Rainforest Cafe which still seems crazy so maybe not... :confused3

Glad everyone likes the blurry pic. :upsidedow

Hi everyone,

I thought I would share with you one of the holiday traditions I learned about on the Yuletide Fantasy Tour and a souvenir I purchased. (I know, sharing a souvenir before the souvenir post! :scared1: )

The Daruma Doll (from Japan)

DSC01092.jpg

The above link will most certainly explain it better than I can but the essence of it is this. You'll notice the doll has no eyes - or no pupils at least. You make a wish while drawing in one of the eyes/pupils (the right eye). Then you keep the doll out and presumably think about your wish everytime you see the doll. When your wish comes true, you color in the other eye. Then at the end of the year, you actually destroy the doll (it's just paper mache) so as to clean the slate for your next wish to come true.

So I am wishing you all a very happy new year and hoping that all of your wishes for 2009 come true! :goodvibes

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
