Ok, here's the deal:
My friends & I don't really send cards or gifts. It's an unwritten rule & it's fine by us. We don't have to worry about what to get them & it's good for us not making your friends feel like they have to remember birthdays or things like that.

Well, someone broke the rule!

I'm obviously going to thank her for it & all, but now it's way late to send a card. I was making an animated flash card to send out to the relatives. Should I spend some extra time & make some changes specifically for her or what?

You can put a card in the mail this morning - or give her a call later on today

If you feel obliged send a Happy New Years greeting card instead (just in case a Christmas card doesn't make it in time) I wouldn't worry too much about it otherwise since it was just a card.

I'm sending out Happy New Year cards this year, time just did not allow for me to do the Christmas card thing. First year ever.

I like the idea of you designing an e-card for her, Jeff. I'm sure she'll really like that you took the time to be creative in your greeting. :)

That is what they are all telling you. :p

So someone forgot that they were supposed to exclude you from the card list and inadvertently sent you a card?
It was just a card, but obviously you are inexperienced in the art of exchanging cards. So maybe someone more experienced than you can help you out at Hallmark and suggest a card or two that could be appropriate. Your best bet, buy a box just in case this happens to you again you'll be prepared.

I wrote my stack of Christmas cards yesterday, and they'll be mailed today! I'm still getting them out a week earlier than last year. LOL! Last year I took them to Disney with me and mailed them all from Orlando. :)

A card would still probably get there in time as long as they live in the same part of the country as you do. I'd just send one out to her, no big deal.
