OH BOY!!*My 1st PTR for our 1st ever WDW trip JUNE 2011* 6/14: Started my TR.

:scared1: We've got horrible tornado's here today. My county has been severely damaged :sad2: Thank goodness we are ok so far with no damages. We still have more storms to come though. :headache:

On the bright side-thanks to the power being out all day and causing massive boredom, I did start working on the scavenger hunt that I plan to do and started seperating things into our suitcases and the backpack, so I guess I can say that I've started packing now!!! :goodvibes

So sorry to hear about the storms and tornado. Hopefully you guys stay safe.

Can't to see what you have figured out for the scavanger hunts. I am sure it's going to be a lot of fun. Packing. . .:scared1: You are right, I need to get started packing to.

I'm guessing you got tired of the storms and sent them my way. :lmao:

It's been bad here, too. Dad called and they weren't allowing the city employs to leave - and they kept shuffling them from one room to the next for safety.

I've not heard if there's any damage or touchdowns in the area, but I did hear hail (small) pounding on the roof. DH said he drove in and out of the storm on his way home, which scared him a bit. Two streets over, nothing - and it was massively pouring here.

Glad to hear your power is back on! Hope that the damage in your area isn't too bad. Grats on working on the scavenger hunt and getting somethings packed!

No it's still not back on, power has been out for over 12 hours now :guilty: But there are over 13,000 people down here so it may not be until tomorrow when we get our power back.

UGH, hope your power comes back on soon.

I'm in TN, and our area has about 95,000 to 100,000 homes without power! :scared1: Ours has flickered on and off during the storms throughout the day, but has not gone out completely {crosses fingers!}

We never lost power, but my sister did (a few neighborhoods over) and our friends did (3 streets over). Ours flickered a lot, but never went out. DH said that his BFF's car was destroyed by hail in Knoxville. :sad2:

Crossing fingers that you got your power back on last night! We always lose power when any kind of storm comes through, we've gone without power before for onver a week (that was the time Dh broke down and got the generator). At least you got to do some packing done, I put all of the new clothes I got for the kids in their suitcase the other day and my toiletry bag is now fully stocked up and ready to go.

Love the passports, I really want to make ones for my kids but I think I'm just going to go the lazy route and buy them at the parks. I did do the tip envelopes the other night though :thumbsup2

I have heard about the storms as it has been on the news over here - must be bad :scared1: Am hoping you all stay safe during this terrible weather

Yay on starting packing!! :cheer2:

I hope you get power back soon. It must be horrible not having any power.

we got hit with some bad weather yesterday too. We've been without power for more than 24 hours now. Fun stuff! I'm actually at my IL's house about an hour away now. keeping my fingers crossed that we both get our power back soon!

Still without power but my phone and internet finally came back on today and I have a battery back up on my modem ;) My food is all spoiled and its getting so hot in here...they are saying we might be without power for 7-9 days :scared1: ... my entire county is down, the damage here is unbelievable, makes me cry. :sad1:
I hope to have some more positive, Disney related news soon. 40 days to go so I'll be looking forward to receiving some Mickey mail soon!!!! :goodvibes:banana:

So sorry to hear you are still without power. I hope that they get it back on really soon! I also hope they're able to repair the damage pretty easily. :(

Can't wait for you to get Mickey Mail!:hug::hug:

Ugh, we lost power too... 3 days. We stayed with my inlaws, thank God for them! We're headed back this afternoon... Not looking forward to throwing all that food away! :(

I'm so glad to hear that you're okay...and for no damages.
I went to UA in Tuscaloosa before transferring to a school in TX...
So my heart just breaks for the city.

Glad you are all okay, it's tough being without power so long, I went through it once, but because of an ice storm. Not fun.

Those passports are AMAZING...making me re-think just buying them now. Ugh!

So sorry to hear about all the bad weather and your power being off. We had some horrible storms here, too. We had two tornadoes touch down and one ripped into our airport. They shut it down on Easter. We had hail in some areas the size of softballs, so we have damage all over the place around here, too.

Love the Passports! Soooo cute!!! :cool1:

I hope that everything is going well and you have power back now. Let's hope that you have reached your storm quota for the year and you have nothing else go wrong!

I've been down in northern Alabama on and off since February for work. Each time that I'm down there, we experience severe weather with sirens at least once. I didn't know that people don't have basements until I tried to find the stairs down and there was nothing beyond the first floor! It's been an incredible spring for the south.

Once you get back and all settled - I'm curious. How was your SIL's trip to Disney?

Hey girls. Nope, still no power on at our place!!! It's been a week now!!! :scared1: Things are just so badly damaged, they are having trouble repairing it all. :headache:

DexLabDeeDee, My SIL and her family had a great trip! She wants to go back ASAP of course! They didn't get to do Epcot on this trip so she is really wanting to get back for that. We are actually staying at her house right now since she has power and we do not! ;)

35 days 'til Disney!!!!!!!

I couldn't imagine having no power for a whole week.:scared1: The longest we have gone is about 18 hours and that was scary enough. With my son's medical issues I don't know what I would have done if it was any longer. He needs twice daily neb treatments that are electric.

I hope that your power comes on real soon and things go back to normal.

glad you have somewhere to stay! We were without power for 3 days and it felt like forever! there's a couple people I know here without power, they live out in really remote areas.
