So I pulled up to Mickey and Friends at 7:50am (8am opening) and was diverted over to Simba. Could the parking structure rally be full already???? That makes me really scared for the crowds today! We are doing DL only today with friends.... I really hope everyone is going to DCA!

No, but where did you arrive from? If you didn’t arrive in a way to access the bridge they tend to divert when it’s going to be busy so as to control traffic. And expect dca to be busy busy since passes aren’t blocked today to see Pixar pier.

No, they divert traffic all over the place all the time over there for traffic control reasons, not because it’s full.

They probably just rerouted the traffic so it wouldn't get backed up. Yesterday at Mickey and Friends they started letting us through parking about 6 minutes early I think because it was getting backed up over the bridge and to the street.

Yeah, yesterday when I pulled off the freeway at 7:30ish it was a standstill at the light (5 south Disneyland dr off ramp). Within a few minutes traffic over the bridge started moving moving and I didn’t stop again until I entered the physical structure.

I arrived at the parking structure at 7:05 and parking was unusually backed up. Friends who always arrive at 6:00 later told me that there was an early D23 event this morning. Sitting at Pizza Planet now. Crowds aren’t as bad as I feared, initially.

That might explain the enormous amount of people in DTD early this morning! I never saw so many people that early.

In the end, I did not think crowds were bad in DL at all today. Adventureland and New Orleans were jam packed in the afternoon as per usual, but we never felt bother by the crowds for most of the day.

Yes, not bad at all! We had a great day. Some of the waits were even less than posted. We hopped into the Peter Pan line when the posted wait time was 40 but it looked shorter than that and sure enough, it was 23 minutes.
