Oh boy, do I need help!

I'm really sorry, I don't want to be "that guy". I've been to disney several times and thought I knew what I was doing with fast passes and a touring plan. I feel like I've totally blown this trip because I really messed up getting fast passes. I can't "chalk this one up" and learn for next time. It's been five years since we've been, this trip is to celebrate me beating cancer, and we aren't going again for 7 - 8 years. So I really need to get this one right!

We are in the parks Dec. 2 - 7, staying at Pop Century. We have reservation for Candlelight Processional one night, and at tour a Magic Kingdom one morning. And Rise of the Resistance opens while we are there.

I currently have no fast passes for Slinky or Flight of passage, because I couldn't find them available. Now, 3 days after I booked fast passes, people are saying those attractions ARE available. In order to get them, I'm going to have to start over from square 1 with a whole new trip plan. I really don't think I can bring myself to do all that. Would anyone be willing to look at my current plan, and help me try to change it so we can actually ride Slinky Dog and Flight of Passage on this trip? I realize that sound so needy, but you guys are the pros. Thank you.

I’m no expert at all...but when I look at the Dibb it does not show any availability for those two except 12/7. All days prior are booked. Relax - you can always rope-drop SDD and FoP. Our last trip we booked about 30 days out so that's what we were left with. We rode both and had a great time.

Congrats on beating cancer! Have an amazing trip. Sme people with the FPs you're hoping for will have to change their plans, so there will be some FP slots opening up. There won't be a lot and they'll go fast, but if you check MDE and the Dibb frequently between now and your trip you may get lucky. Part of the reason you're having trouble is just that those FPs are always hard to get, but part may be that the 2nd ride in Galaxy's Edge opens 12/5, probably increasing crowds. The silver lining is that there will probably be some sort of extended hours offered then. If any of the parks change their general hours (not including EMH) they'll also release more FPs for the additional hours. Good luck!

Your plans are fine, it looks like you plan on rope dropping FOP and SR. You will need to be at the park 1 1/2 to two hours early to be at the front of the line.

You'll be fine-you've already won the big prize against the big C-you can drop Primeval Whirl from your first day-it's been broken forever and doubtful they will repair it. I would skip morning Navi River because the Safari ride lasts 20 minutes and may have a longer than 20 minute wait by 9. (unless that is when it opens-)Your last day, Saturday, looks like you are doing 3 parks? I'd skip that days ToT as you w ill have already done it, but I'll bet you meant Test Track which would be perfect!

Wow, the dibb's back? I thought that was permanently gone. You don't have to start over, just try to modify your fastpasses for the other attractions (Don't cancel. If it's not available you can go back without doing anything and your current fastpasses will be there.)

I only know this since I just happened to see a tweet about it, but Primeval Whirl is now “seasonal” and was actually running for at least some part of today, just FYI.

Of course, what “seasonal” really means is very much TBD!!

Park doesn't close until 8:00. Get in line for FoP at about 7:45 and you'll be able to ride even if wait takes you past 8:00.

This is a very tight schedule and one you probably won't be able to make. Non-party days at MK are VERY crowded and wait times will be longer at everything. You're also criss-crossing the park several times. Not sure what your plan is between Splash and Mine Train, but I'd do Big Thunder right after Splash.

I think Slinky is better at night. Get in line right before park closing and u can ride. My experience the last two Summers is that the stated wait time near park closing is overstated and it did not take us that long.

Never fear! We are going early November to celebrate a health recovery. I planned the trip at 54 days out so no Slinky Dog or FOP were available. I'm on the app several times a day trying to modify my FP. I have managed to change my Na'vi to FOP and my TSMM to SD. Keep looking! (I do it while I'm waiting in line, on hold, for kid's carpool, etc).

Also, you should consider joining Touring Plans. You can plug in which attractions you want, where and when you plan to eat, and FP that you have. It will then make a touring plan for you that includes expected wait times. I, too, am concerned that your Magic Kingdom day might be too tight. Touring Plans can help you figure it out.

On December 2-7, the Skyliner is scheduled to start running to Hollywood Studios at 7am (except for December 6, when it is slated to open at 6am). This makes me think that the currently scheduled 9am openings for HS are likely to be moved up to 8am (either as a regular openings or EMH).

IF a regular opening, it is likely that Slinky FPs will become available for the 8-9am hour. So stay tuned in to see if this happens, and you may have a chance to grab Slinky FPs on December 3 (to replace Tower of Terror) or on December 5 (to replace Rock n Roller Coaster).

We were able to grab 8-9 am FPs for Flight of Passage on a day in March 2018 when AK opening was moved up from 9am to 8am.

How many people are going on this trip? Night before and day of typically offer the chance to grab any FP that you are looking for with some refreshing. The more people the more difficult that will be but keep looking.

Definitely check night before and day of for fast passes because people move things around a lot. Also don't forget you can keep getting fast passes one at a time after you use your three, so you can check for fast passes in your second park day of!
