Did I ever screw up and I don't know how I ever did it. I booked myself, dd(9), and ds(6) to fly on Airtran from BWI to MCO. I booked all 3 of us down on my A+ rewards and coming back I had to book ds on A+ rewards(1 reservation) and dd & I on another paying cash. I booked ds correctly down and back on the right flights, but for some reason I booked dd & I on a flight from BWI to MCO on the day that we are supposed to be traveling from MCO to BWI. I called Airtran and they were very nice and did a change for all 3 of us on the same flight home, but it's a later flight than we originally had booked. No problem though just as long as the kids are with either dh or I.

Here is where I just know dh is going to have a fit. I booked his flight down and back using our rewards from our VISA. He was booked down and back on the same flight as us, well now he won't be. He will still be on the flight that we were supposed to fly home on without us . It's the flight right before mine and the kids. He will get back to BWI at 7:40pm and we will get back at 8:27. Not that huge of a difference, but I know that he won't be very happy with me. Oh, and there is no changing his flight.

So, what do you think are the chances that he can skip the flight that he is booked on for the later flight? The flight is a little over half full. There are about 60 seats left. Our flight is in October.

Could you pay a cancelation & rebooking fee for his VISA flight by telling them the same story about what happened using your Airtran A+ rewards?

I get what you're saying, my DH would not be comfortable leaving MCO without us either, but in the event they won't change, as long as you're all at the airport together who knows, maybe Airtran will switch you & the kids on the earlier flight with your DH if someone is a no show for that flight? You could always ask when you get to the airport to check him in.

If it doesn't work out, make sure you all ride ME back to the airport together & hopefully everyone will have had such a great time on your vacation that your flights being less than 1 hr apart it'll be okay

Good luck :wizard:

This husband would probably be doing this :cool1: if he got to travel home without the kids!!! (Not that I don't love my kids, I'm just sayin' :cool1:)

You can always hope that AirTran makes a change to the flight the three of you are on and then you can likely change to your DHs flight. It sounds like there may be some connections involved in some of the flights, so a change could happen.

I would also watch for any changes in time with your flights. Then call them and book the three of you or DH accordingly if possible since they changed your flight time.

When did you book? Many airlines will let you cancel or change a reservation for a limited time period after you book. Sometimes 24 hours.

Something similar happened to me once. If you wait until the day of the flight, there is only a $25 fee to change your flight time...if there is still space available.

We will definitely ride ME back to the airport together. I have to call my VISA rep that I booked through to see, but I really don't hold out much hope for them changing it for free. I am going to call Monday and see.

This is what I am hoping for the most!

Because we are A+ rewards members they were able to change the original error for free. There were no A+ seats available on my dh's flight so we had to be booked on the next flight.

Did you call or do it at the airport? I am hoping that we can do it on the phone so we don't have to be at the aiport for that long. If I can't get the change for free $25 isn't bad.
