OH Another NY scandal!!!

Why do men suddenly become stupid when they get famous?

In this day of electronic trails of EVERYTHING, did Anthony Weiner (I just LOVE to type his name ;)) really think that no one would figure out where that photo was coming from?

Did Tiger Woods really think that having the porn star delete his phone number from HER phone would prevent Elin from finding the number is HIS???

And how long did Arnold think his "DNA evidence" would stay hidden???

And have you seen Mrs. Anthony Weiner? She's GORGEOUS, and married only last year . . .

New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, 46, held a press conference confirming that he had inappropriate conversations with six women over the past three years through social networking, and also sent a photo of himself in his underwear to a young woman in Seattle. Weiner married Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's aide Huma Abedin last year. She was not at the press conference. Weiner tearfully apologized to his wife and said they did not plan to split up. "We will weather this," he said. "I love her very much and she loves me." He said he will not resign from Congress.

He best be happy that he isn't married to someone vengeful or he might find his dangling parts that match his name super glued together while he sleeps.

Sleep well, Mr. Weiner! :lmao:

I guess Im confused. Is the fuss over the fact that he sent a picture over twitter? The underwear and the abs are the ones ive seen?....
Cuz if that is it I dont see the big deal, since when is sexting or sextwittering illegal?

not illegal- I think it speaks to your moral fiber when you are a newlywed and are doing this behind your wife's back. and he is saying there are worse photos out there.

Not illegal, but embarrassing for sure!

Especially when you are in an office to which you were elected by the people because they trust you.

He apparently sent more than that. From what I've heard, a little less cloth was involved.

Either way,he's married and shouldn't have been sending anything to any woman. The fuss is his name fits and he lied about it and now thinks apologizing will make it all go away. It won't.

This is less about illegal(although there may be illegalities involved) and more about morals and appropriate behavior.

Some people still have moral standards.

I give him until the end of the week before he resigns.

I can't wait to hear what Elliot Spitzer has to say about this.

oh ok, i didnt really get the whole of the story, i have seen headlines and that's about it.....thanks for the info..lol

i thought there was something more to it.

This press conference is just bizarre.

I can't believe how many grown, adult, professional men take shirtless/pantless photos of themselves and tweet them to strangers online.

This is the 2nd NY politician who has been caught up in this sort of scandal this year, honestly what are they thinking??

I don't get it either. I always wonder what goes through their minds? "hey, I'm kinda bored right now..think I'll snap some pictures of myself and send them to random people, no one will ever guess it was me"

The jokes almost write themselves don't they?:rotfl2:

They just said on the news that Bill Clinton proceeded over the Weiner wedding. How fitting:lmao:

The jokes DO write themselves, you're right. :rotfl:

The thing is - I would NEVER electronically transmit a racy photo of myself to ANYONE. Husband, BF, no one. Do people not realize that stuff can NEVER be deleted?!?! It's just too risky.

Hahahhah!!!!! :lmao: I admit, that would cross my mind too. :thumbsup2

I just saw one of the "girls" on Hannity. (She's 26 years old.)
I'm not defending Weiner. What he did was wrong, and the fact that there are tons of married men and women doing the naughty online doesn't make it right.

BUT why do these women come out of the woodwork, do interviews and portray themselves as sweet innocent victims? This woman admitted she was in a sexting relationship with Weiner even though they never met. She knew who he was and that he was married, yet she chose to engage in dirty talk with him.

I just got finished arguing with my mother who says Weiner is a sick pig and says that he took advantage of those "girls". Whatever happened to personal responsibility on the woman's side? And where's the shame of being involved in a scandal like this? To come on TV and talk about it, and to probably make big bucks selling her story to the rags, is disgusting. And this woman has children! (Or a child; she said she was a single mother.)

Weiner showed poor morals and he'll pay the price, but this poor innocent girl of 26 was shocked and hurt by him sending her a photo of him in his underwear. What the heck did she expect to eventually happen when she's been sexting with him??

I think I'm growing old. Stories like these are so common that I have lost my enthusiasm for following them. Let's just hope he does the right thing and resigns. That is what disgraced politicians who have been tainted by sex scandals do these days isn't it?

Either old or just in an area where it is all too common for corruption of any way, shape or form. Not necessarily sex scandals but some sort of scandal. No such thing as someone with clean hands if it's more than just say the local level, once it goes to state level - I'm completely convinced everyone bribed/got kickbacks/have blackmail on someone somehow somewhere along the way as I'm not fully convinced they could get into the position they are in without doing so in our state. I suppose if I lived in another state a scandal might surprise me but it's more or less "eh, what else is new?" They always seem to get away with it and nobody *really* cares in the end.

Someone will write a book on it & make $$$$ off of it.

What is it about NY & NJ politicians? :headache: I know in a lot of ways we are different from other parts of the country. But, can't we get normal politicians? :confused3

I must be getting old, too. I missed the other guy. Who was the first one?
