Oga's walk up

If you do a walkup via the app for Oga's, is it possible to request the bar? While we don't necessarily want to be tied down to a reservation time, we still may want to give it another go, but I absolutely don't want to be at a shared standing table again. The bar would be fine as we wouldn't be staring directly at our standing table mates. I feel like our last experience was especially bad (I got reprimanded by a CM for standing slightly askew at the standing table), and I want a redo!

If you do walk up you will get a standing spot, I assume you can ask for bar vs table you may have to wait longer.

I sat a table with strangers and was on the very edge and could barely reach the table and had to old by glass the entire time. Add to the fact that I was solo and found the whole thing fairly awkward. I likely won't be back since I can't stand that long, especially after a day in the park.

We enjoyed our time there, standing at the bar. We ordered appetizers and a drink. It was fun but the place is designed, IMO, to discourage a lengthy stay. It was something my friend and I had wanted to try and I'm glad we did it but I was able to see that I wouldn't like being at a crowded table and that it's not really a place you can relax and be comfortable. We didn't have a reservation so we didn't object when we were led to the bar and one of us had a much shorter bar top than the other. However, that made things kind of awkward being at different heights.

I'd go again but probably do the same thing--walk up and sit at the bar. But next time I will make sure we're both/all at the same height!
