Oga's Changing?

I couldn't get a res for Oga's this past weekend at my 60+7 day mark. Came on the boards and saw others were experiencing the same around end of Oct into early Nov. Thought maybe it was just really busy but still surprised there wasn't a single time in 7 days that far out.

As of this morning the Oga's page now says The experience will be modified at this location in red. Wonder what's going on. Maybe switch to table service with real food, or possibly just a walk up going forward?

I was able to get a reservation for 10/28 no problem at my 60 days out

On one of the FB groups I follow a woman said she was having issues with Oga's and called Disney and the cast member said there was a glitch with the releasing of those reservations and that they didn't know what was happening. I saw that a few days ago so not sure if that is true or if the problem is bigger than a glitch or if it actually will be changed.

I believe it's just that the experience is modified because some of the antics the bartenders used to do pre-covid, they aren't doing now. They weren't seating people communally for a long time - but when we went in July we were put at a table with another group.

The alert that says the experience will be modified has been in place since they reopened from the pandemic, so like someone else said, the CMs aren't doing the same entertainment (Though I'd imagine it's close to being normal if not already). The reservations could be completely booked already, but probably a glitch like the CM said. Either way, just keep checking, cancellations happen all the time.

I can also confirm they are back to seating full capacity in Oga's. I was there a couple weeks ago.

Yes, they have been since at least the beginning of July

Was just there tonight 8/31 got our own booth (party of 3). The standing tables were mixed party. Our waiter was very entertaining. Not sure how it used to be pre Covid as this was our first time. But it was very fun and the drinks were great.

If the park closes at 21h00, this means that you will stay on at Oga's? Or is your rez in the a.m.? Ty

Not sure about changes but I think there was a glitch in the system. When I made my 60 day reservations last month I could only click out 60 days as an option. Then from that page on the app I could go up and select days out 70+ days and make reservations even past my tickets dates beyond 60 days. Couldn’t get it to work on the pc, the website would crash instead. Anyway, maybe it was supposed to work that way but it seemed like a glitch and I had easy picking, so maybe that is why they were all booked when you searched 60 days? I’m going oct 16-24. Edit: sorry not the app it was the browser on mobile. Also, I changed one of my days and so have been looking for a second day oga, haven’t seen anything at all…so will be watching to see if something is changing.

Same happened to be at 5 AM CST this morning. Website up to the 16th but app was showing further out. Missed out on ALL of our restaurant choices. Even used incognito mode in Chrome, EDGE, and made sure I was signed in. It sucked.

Definitely use the app, I had to change around a few days (since there is not fast passes its not like it really matters anymore) and was worried as I lost all my Be our guests, garden grill, tuskers and a few other's I wanted at specific times but am not sure I plan to keep. On the browser I couldnt find anything but I found all of them multiple times across several days in just about 48 hours on the app. The app is definitely more efficient, just search using the little look out icon. If you check every hour or two you should find most of what you are looking for in short order (except, it seems, ogas canteen)

In recent months, yes, Oga seating has been communal. In July, my family was at a standing table with another family of 4. In September, we stood at the bar

On 9/16, we were a party of 6, one a 4 year old, and were placed at a standing table - I thought for sure we’d rank a sit-down table. They added a party of one to our table, so there were 7 of us at a standing table. We asked for a chair for the 4yo so we wouldn’t have to take turns holding her, and they brought us what was basically a step stool.

Not ideal in most cases, but often see available for party of 1 - such as currently 12/24 at 7:10pm - good for Star War's fans who want to see and experience the place and may not get back to Disney World for a long time.
