My daughter wanted to go in here and I got us reservations but I'm a bit confused. It's listed as a dinner for up to $35/person but it doesn't serve food, correct? Besides the 2 drink snack things. I'm also a bit confused about the seating. I read a review that said something about making sure you don't get up because the server will give your table away. Is everyone w/reservations ensured a table? I can't stand for long periods of time w/bad knees.

Any tips for non alcoholic drinks or other tips for me and my 17 year old experiencing it?

You are correct, they don't serve food other than a couple of snacks. I can't imagine a server giving away your place unless the tab is paid and the whole party hits the restroom as a group.

There are some booths, seats at the bar and high tables where you have to stand.

I'm sure someone will have info on how to request a seat.

I thought the non-alcoholic drinks looked more fun than the ones with alcohol!

You can ask for a seated table when you check in, though you might need to wait longer for one. It's a bit hit or miss getting one vs a standing table. When it first opened it felt like they were trying to push people in and out and turn the tables over as often as they could. I wouldn't go in hungry, just go for a drink and take in some of the amazing history around the room. The Fuzzy Tauntaun is defiantly what I'd say is their signature drink the foam itself is the best part and weirdest part, it will make your mouth a bit numb for about 10-15 minutes. Can't help on the no alcohol drinks, none of them appeal to me. We've been to both Oga's east & west and won't be rushing back. If I could go in, get a booth and hang out for a while (like Trader Sam's or other bars) I'd feel diffferent but its sort of one and done for us. But glad we did it for sure.

The Cliff Dweller (served in a Porg mug) is a good non-alcoholic drink. My husband really wanted the Porg mug but wanted alcohol so I got the non-alcoholic drink. It tasted better than his drink too.

Even if you ask for a seat, don’t count on getting one. We were a party of seven, including a 10 month old and a four year old. I had asked for a booth when checking in. They put us at a standing table. We asked if we could have a booth and were told no - not let me check or it will be a wait. We asked if we could get stools for the four year old and the mother of the baby because she was going to nurse. They brought us a step stool. When she sat her head was at my thigh. It was laughable. I asked what happened to the stools they had at the bar and was told they had removed them - this was mid-September. And to top it off, they added a single woman to our standing table. Eight of us at one of those small oval tables. It was pouring outside, so we were all happy to be inside, and we made the best of it. It makes us laugh now, but at the time we were not overly pleased.

They do serve food. Just not much of it, and nothing you can make a meal from, so expect to have a meal elsewhere.

My party usually has some persons in it who are slightly mobility impaired and have difficulty standing still for a long time, so we ask for the booth upon checking in (don't wait until they assign you something you don't want) and wait for it. Make sure you tell them why you want it. Have always gotten one, but we do have to wait. Yes, you will be sharing it with other parties. I believe there are no longer chairs at the bar since they aren't even trying to distance the guests anymore.

There's no restroom inside, the closest one is out by the First Order area, so if you need to go, either go in shifts or let your server know you are going to the restroom.

IMO the point of Oga's is to experience the atmosphere, so go in to soak up the immersive experience and enjoy a beverage while there. When we visited in May we were told at check in that we had to leave 40 (or 45?) minutes after being seated. Our family stayed the entire time but we were actually ready to go after about 25-30 minutes. Maybe they no longer have a time limit.

I also noticed pictures showing multiple parties at one booth with a clear divider in between. They were not doing this back in May. And the previous poster that had one person added to their standing table of 7? What in the world?? There were 4 of us at one of those- I can't imagine squeezing in 3-4 more.

yes, there are now plexiglass dividers in the booths. That just happened last month. I was there in early October and there weren't dividers.

Yep, that was me. Granted two of our party were a toddler and an infant, but it was still cozy. The woman was supposed to have been traveling with her sister but ended up traveling alone, so we made it a good time for her. I have been to Oga’s several times and have never had more than four at a standing table. That was definitely a first!

Oga's main allure is the ambiance. However, covid pretty much destroyed the fun, convival atmosphere. It's just not the same experience. It's still worth going if you've never been, but you're really getting a very watered down experience unfortunately.

I am actually glad to read this. I was there last month for the first time and really felt the experience could have been much better. It was okay, but not great fun like Trader Sam's. I'll be on an adults only trip next year so maybe I'll try again.
