Oga's Cantina Drink Reviews

We have a res for our trip in November and I plan on sticking to the beer. The drinks all have fun names but in the end they sound like a typical theme park mixed drink, low on the booze, high on the sugar, and for $17 a pop or whatever, I'll pass ha.

For those interested in the beers, they are still way pricey (even by craft beer standards) but come from some pretty solid breweries. Here's the info from the official menu. No clue why the White Whampa is $1 more than the other ones.

White Wampa Ale - Ballast Point Brewing Co. - $14.25
Classic Hefeweizen with a Banana and Citrus Character | ABV 4.5% - IBU 10

Bad Motivator IPA - Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. - $13.25
Tropical India Pale Ale with Galaxy and Comet Hops | ABV 6.0% - IBU 50

Gamorrean Ale - New Belgium Brewing Co. - $13.25
Red Ale with Roasted Caramel, Hop Character, and Touch of Grapefruit | ABV 5.8% - IBU 42

Gold Squadron Lager - Blue Point Brewing Co. - $13.25
Golden Lager with Lavender and Plum Flavors | ABV 5.0% - IBU 18

I have both a breakfast and lunch ressie all before 11 am, but really would love to do breakfast and go back to my resort to rest.

Has anyone drank from the breakfast menu and is it still only two options? If so, I will need to wait until lunch since I'm only going for the drinks and now thinking instead of the margarita drink, will get the beer.

Thank you.

I've been 3 times so far, and always with at least 4 people so I think between all of us ordering we've tried just about everything.
I love the Fuzzy Tauntaun, great experience and the drink is tasty too.

The beers were just ok, we have a ton of breweries around us, including Ballast Point, so I just can't pay that much when I can go to the tasting room and get them for $4.

The teal wine was interesting, not too bad.

I think if you don't want a mixed drink, the best thing on the menu is the Spice Runner cider. It's really good. We've been trying to find one outside of DL that tastes similar, but haven't succeeded yet.

I didn't really care for the blue bantha, and the cookie on top was kind of gross and waxy.

The Cliff dweller was pretty tasty, basically fruit punchy.

The Skyhopper was basically a melonball so if you like that, you'll love it.

The Yub Nub is not my thing, but I don't like passionfruit.

I really like the Slug Slinger, but it was a very polarizing drink for our group. It kind of had a piney or rosemary kind of taste to it. I didn't think it was sweet at all.

The biggest surprise was the Jet Juice. We ended up with one even though no one remembered ordering it. It was really good, just a hint of spicy from the chili liqueur, a little bit vanilla from the bourbon, surprising and interesting.

Thank you! What was the teal wine like? And how on earth is it teal lol?

Do they have regular drinks as well?
No. If you mean like a gin and tonic, scotch and soda, etc. They only have the premixed cocktails on the menu (and some beer and wine.) Not sure about what soft drinks may be available.

SORRY --this posted twice and I can't figure out how to delete the second one!

I don't think they have soft drinks either. Just what's on the menu. I don't see why you couldn't get a few of the cute little droid Coke bottles and bring them in though.

Thanks for the answer, as I have a 3PM scheduled along with a nightcap to end the day @ 9:15, with the 2 drink limit I was wondering, looks like I will be sampling few.....

The Spice Runner cider is Angry Orchard Rose with, I believe, cinnamon added. You can buy Angry Orchard Rose in lots of stores. It is one of my favorite ciders. Just add some cinnamon at home!

No worries, I hope reports keep coming in! We won't be there till 9/29 so I'm interested in reading all comments!

Thanks! Fingers crossed as I'm loving it. I'm there the beginning of September so hoping to get some great info from this :D

I had both and would choose the fuzzy tauntaun. The spiran caf was weird. We ordered it because we were in there at 9am and figured why not go with the coffee option. It had rinds in it, way more than what I would expect as "zest". I wanted a strainer to get all the "stuff" out.

Ohh might rethink this then. Does anyone know if they serve the whole menu in the morning or just the breakfast one? I was going for this as it was the only "breakfast" cocktail I liked the sound of but not sure I want to be pulling out rind lol

Oh now Cliff Dweller is my second drink as want a photo with the Porg mug! Glad to hear that was tasty. And Might try the Jet Juice as that sounds interesting and different to the usual Disney drinks.

This was my other option if I go down the non-cocktail route as I love Angry Orchard and spotted that was the cider being used. We don't get the rose version in the UK - or at least I have yet to find it - so it will be fun to try.

What about the non-alcoholic drinks? My DD is 19 so no booze for her and not sure yet what I want.

TIA!

We have a 9:00 am ressie has anyone tried the bloody rancor. Seems like a basic bloody mary just curious if it is. I also feel like the price went up a $1 from $17 to $18 since we made the ressie. Really???

HS prices are more than DL prices. I feel they should be the same. But if one place had higher prices than the other, shouldn’t it be DL as I think cost of living is higher in the LA area than the Orlando area?

Can you just let us at DL have this ONE thing that is cheaper? LOL. Everything else is more expensive here vs WDW.

Curious, is everyone in your party required to buy a drink? Traveling with a friend with dietary issues, and I'm not sure there is anything on the menu she will be able to drink.

No, just at least one person has to order something. My kids didn't have anything when we went.
