Oga's Cantina - Dinner Menu??

I’ve booked for my up coming trip, couldn’t do it through MDE app only on the website.
Excited to try the cocktails and just experience it.

When did reservations come out for this cantina

Also I see it says your only aloud 45 minutes in there. How do they do your not in there longer ?

I got caught up in the frenzy and booked 2 different times on our departure day (9/2). I wasn't even planning on going to Galaxy's Edge this trip at all (saving it for next year), but thought why not? Then I read the confirmation and I'm not sure they could make it sound anymore less appealing if they tried. :rotfl:

I'm going to throw those ones back in the pool and stick with my original plan of going to EPCOT that day instead.

I'm trying to book lunch on 10/31 which was also originally planned to be an Epcot day. After having such difficulty getting into Dining today and the fact that it's taking me over 3 hours to get a 45 min lounge reservation, I think I too will be sticking with my original plan.

It's hard not to get excited when new stuff becomes available. And for your late October trip, it may still be worth trying to secure a reservation unless you plan to skip GE and/or HS all together. 8/23 to 9/2 so I had already planned all my HS time pre GE opening day. I just got a little carried away with this new offering, but quickly talked myself off the ledge. It will be there when we return next summer, we'll check it out then.

So I just booked Oga's Cantina for dinner. I really hope I don't regret it because I can't find a menu anywhere for it! Its not on allears, and when I try and look it up on the Disney World website, I get an error message.

Anyone have any insights??

It is not a restaurant. it is a bar. disney is actually taking reservations at a bar. kills me how many people are so excited about that. lol

Well, the date and times I was looking for are gone which I pretty much figured would happen. Not very upset as it's only a bar after all and I may be one of the very few who have never done Trader Sam's and that hardly keeps me up nights. Now if it were the Space restaurant in Epcot, that's a different story.

Just want to mention that at DL they do have some food options for breakfast. They have a pastry and overnight oats available. Might be the same a WDW. I decided breakfast was the best time to go because of the food options.

And it is a 45 minute experience!

It's not a 45 minute experience. You have a 45 minute time limit in there and then you have to leave. The bartender will literally tell you your time is up and you have to go. There is a 2 drink maximum per person as well. At least, there is in Disneyland.

How can the bartender tell when everyone's 45 minutes is up

You have to order and pay when you arrive. You can order up to 2 drinks per person, but you have to order and pay for them when you arrive. Your order has a time on it.

And youbassume people read the emails. Lol
LOL. We may need to put up a public service announcement stickie. I bet people will show up for "lunch" or "dinner" with their family in tow ready to eat and will be disappointed to find a standing-room area at a bar without food.

You can order one and pay, and drink it, and then order another and pay, and drink it. You don't have to pay upfront for 2 drinks, nor do you have to order them at the same time. But, yes, they do throw down the check immediately after you order and you have to pay right then. No open tabs. If you just order one drink, as soon as they serve it to you, they will start hounding you and asking if you want another.

Got evening ADR for Jan 16 this morning. Excited to experience Oga’s! Now to figure out what mama juice I want :drinking1:chewy:

What happens if the land is full and I have a reservation for here

That was my question too. I'm sure the number of folks they let in accounts for situations like this. I snagged a reservation just hoping it promises access to the land at a particular time. I do not have to do all the activities, but more excited about just enjoying the atmosphere and a Ronto Wrap.

So after all that.... Canceling our Sci-Fi reservations to get reservations at Oga's, then canceling those and getting our Sci-Fi back because I found out there's no food there....

I got reservations for 7 at Oga's again! LOL

I figured if we go there with the expectations that its an EXPERIENCE and nothing more than that (with booze...) we may honestly enjoy it!

So that's my Thursday morning epiphany... Hope everyone gets what they're trying for!!
