My Disney stay is going to be kinda $$$ and the Universal resorts are just not in the budget for this trip. I found a really good nonrefundable rate ($72/night) at the Comfort Suites on Major Blvd.

The hotel has free parking and breakfast, is within walking distance of Universal and has a shuttle so I did the grown up thing and booked the Comfort Suites. I have an AP and am eligible for early entry, Touring Plans has the crowd levels at 2/3. It's been a while since I visited UO without Express-please tell me I'll be okay!

You should be fine- you're there after spring break, before summer crowds and during the week. Early entry is very crowded but I'd still do it to be there early. Use the app to follow wait times. Have fun!

You have a plan and it sounds very workable.

If the only way you can budget for this trip is staying at the choice hotel, go for it.

All you need is to be close to the parks and a bed to sleep in at night.

Hope your time at the darkside is great

and very short line waits...

Thanks for the replies! The plan is for this to be my last WDW trip for a while (I have zero interest in Star Wars or the mayhem it's going to bring. We also have a new grandbaby and I figure we'll be back to Disney hot and heavy in a few years' time.) so I'm spending mightily on Disney extras. I have an UO AP and couldn't resist tacking on a couple of days there.
