We are looking to have our wedding offsite (costs!!) but want to have dinner afterwards in the GF. There will be 18 people all together and I would love to keep my dress on and poss put some flowers on the table. Does anyone know if this is possible without doing a disney wedding and if normal meal costs would be payable or if we would get a wedding package?

Also Iv heard of some people decorating the Grand 1 - is this done the day before the wedding or do you give your decoraions to some one else to do?

Thanks for your help:lovestruc

I'm sure you can do something for dinner at the resorts but I'm not sure about decorations unless you book a private room. You should probably call the resort directly and coordinate your event with them. I believe their number is: 1-407-824-3000

As for the Grand 1, you might want to ask about that when you make the reservation. If you've already made the reservation, give them a call back and ask.

We are getting married offsite and can't do ANYTHING on site unless we are staying on property. We can make dinner reservations but can't do anything special like a dessert party, etc.
FYI: If you want to save costs REALLY search around, our offsite wedding is costing MORE than if we were getting married on site.

Thanks for the link - iv emailed to ask how disney were with her offsite wedding - but she is having 150-200 guests, so ours wouldnt bring them as much money. we are getting married on cocoa beach, in all its less than £1500 - we are staying in disney, but guests are likely to get a villa or two between them. i really need to call and check with them - but with it being 2 years away i doubt ill be able to book anything?

Hiya

We got married offsite and had our wedding dinner in a private dining room at Citricos along with floral decorations from Disney floral... and then we hired the Grand 1 to go out that evening to watch Wishes. The whole day pretty much cost the same as just an Escape wedding would have cost before we had fed anyone etc. We didn't have that many guests though... there was only 7 of us. Also, we didn't stay onsite and Disney were more than accommodating! I'm not on the boards very often these days... Life has a habit of getting in the way! :lmao: If you want any more info send me a PM and i'll pick it up through my email notification
