Our day at Magic Kingdom....

It was 9:45 by the time we got thru security... I noticed on the way in, the sign posted said the park opened at 8:30.... UGH. Oh well ... what can ya do.... I kept telling the girls and Ozo this is all icing ... our real trip is in three weeks, when we can roll out of bed and onto the Monorail train!!! :::::Sigh::::: Cant wait for that one!

We head straight to Dumbo, well as straight as one can with a potty training girl ... went potty 3 times on the way!! Dumbo was a 50 min wait ... not going to happen. Madeline goes nuts.... Dad lures the girls over to the horseys (merry-go-round) while I grab FP for WTP. We have an hour to kill.... Both girls love the horseys so we ride that 3 or 4 times in a row no wait. The girls were just as happy to ride that as Dumbo. I asked Madeline if she wanted to stand in a long line to ride Dumbo or go ride the horseys over and over.... The merry-go-round one! WHEW. Not to say we didn't have that same conversation several more times ... but at least she didn't pitch a fit! (just minor whimpers of protest) I love my kid ... she is really starting to get things. 3 is a cool age.

Our friends show up about this time and they decide to ride the Merry-go-round while we do WTP. Madeline and I talked about how she was a little scared on the ride last time (going on it this time was ALL her idea) but she wanted to go.....She did really good ... really enjoyed it and only got a little spooked by the rain. :::::Beaming::::: That's my girl.

<Snack break ... ate grapes, bananas, Doritos (cant be all good) and lots of water!>

We met up with the others and decide to run to the Jungle Cruise and grab FP ... then bum around Adventureland a bit. On the way, It's A Small World had ZERO wait so we jumped on it. Again the girls did great. Nic was a little taken aback and lost it for a minute but Steve calmed him down. :-) We all thought the AC needed to be turned up... it was a bit musty in there. Hmmm unless it was some of our fellow boat passengers ... hmmmmm Still ... it could have been cooler.
Sidenote.... I really cant wait for Madeline and Juju's 100th time on It's a small world ... when they have picked their favorite dolls and such.... I still know my favorite from my childhood... (one of the veiled belly dancers ... and I had a crush on the Hawaiian surfer boy!<still do>) This whole motherhood thing is the best!!!

Grab the FP for JC (30 min standby 50 min FP window) and decide to ride Aladdin's Magic Carpets. Wait time posted 20 minutes, I didn't believe it ... line looked longer to me. Madeline and Juju once again do great in line. Mind you I was like a hawk and kept them talking ... well kept Madeline talking while Juju listening! LOL

Then the best thing ever happened..... We got to see both Aladdin and Jasmine ride their ride!!! This was cooler than cool! Can you imagine ... our first time riding the magic carpets and we get to see them riding it too!!! <tearing up as I write this> This was a big Disney moment for me. :D And no camera! :::::Sigh::::::

Oh the line did only take 20 mins ... much faster than Dumbo. I was pleased! I had never noticed the spitting camel before. I liked getting sprayed but as a mother of a child who likes to spit :( I didn't like that kinda of positive reinforcements. ::eyeroll::

We still had 20 mins to kill before JC so we headed for the "Drive them yourself" miniboats near the exit and let the kids run wild <grin>. The kids love spinning the big wheels..... didn't even have to put in money..... who says you cant find a deal a Disney! :D We also munched on popcorn.... A must for my DH. I could take it or leave it ... it always seems soggy to me... :::Shrug::::: Kids like it though. We follow up with lots of water!

With FP we walked onto the boat. :-) Love it!!! I have been on the JC prolly 500 times.... It is one of my faves..... This was the first time I have ever had a female skipper..... I forgot her name...... :::::Kicking myself:::::: She was okay. Did my two favorites ... backside of water and two of his heads for one of yours....<giggle> Overall a bit cutesy for my tastes but not bad. :) Madeline was wide eyed the whole time. Gotta love it!

It was now around 130 so we decided to call it a day. Nic slept in the stroller but my girls don't go down so easy ...

Again all the way back to the house, down RT 192.... I wanna go there Maaaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaa!!! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaseeeeee???? BLEH!

The girls did pass out before we hit the house so we carefully put them in their room.... Linda1 and I got ready to run out while the getting is good....A girls night out!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOOO The plan is to hit MGM for a couple of hours then head home. What a great plan it was too! :-)

Next post ... the adventures of two moms without kids!!!

Wow, great TR on your day in MK. Im jealous for you being able to see a character ride their ride. The closest I've gotten to see that was Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear getting out of a splash mountain log :( Oh well, Hakuna Matata! Cant wait to read more. Thanks for posting!
