Offsite Stroller Rental?

Next month I'll be bringing my family, including two sons (3.5 & 6 yrs), to 6 days at WDW/Dolphin as well as a few other days at KSC & gatorworld. We will need to rent a stroller for our youngest, as he out-grew (collapsed, really) his old one a long time ago. We expect he will need a "sturdy" stroller outside of the parks as well after a long day.

My 3 year old boy is quite big, heavy, and active for his age and most cheap umbrella stollers will fall apart before a week's abuse (his feet drag). We don't want to spend alot of money buying a good quality stroller for one week's use. Has anyone had any experience finding and using off-site (sturdy) strollers? Price? Recommendations?

We are considering the same idea our five year old will
also be too big for an unbrella stroller. I found this place on the web but I wanted to hear from someone who had used them.

Personally, I have not dealt with this rental company, so I can't help in regard to their reputation, etc...

In my search for a stroller to take to WDW this year, I came across plenty of strollers in the $39-59 price range. Since the rental company charges $45 for a week's rental, you may just want to purchase something for about the same price.

The Combi strollers are pretty sturdy, offer the convenience of a lightweight stroller & fold down to the size of a typical umbrella stroller. Plus they can hold a child up to 45 lbs....although I have seen a couple of reps sit on it themselves (& they weighed way more than 45 pounds).

If you want something with a rear axle (won't fold up like an umbrella, but will fold somewhat flat), here are a couple of links to some:
The Graco Kite LiteRider has been given some good reviews, I tried it out myself & it seemed very nice & durable:

I'm sure there are many more out there that you could consider based on your son's height & weight. If you have a local TRU or BRU nearby you might want to check them out, etc.. If you can travel with the stroller (don't know if you are flying or driving) you might as well purchase something you can keep or even donate to someone else as you are leaving WDW! HTH

FYI, we are flying, and my 3.5 year old son is 44 inches long and 43 pounds. It seems that none of strollers referenced in the posts will fit his long legs and it doesn't sound like fun to me to have to pester him to lift his feet up all week long.

I'm now considering renting the (improved) disney strollers and starting a vigorous weight-lifting regimen for the next 37 days for carring him late at night. Do you all know if the double strollers at WDW will fit a 3 yr boy 44 inches tall and a 6 yr boy 53 inches tall? How are these double wide things like to maneuver?

Mike-My DS--last Sept--was just about where your youngest is now. LOL--he's still about there since he hasn't grown that much since we went! We used the singles there & they were fine for him--plenty of room. Since the jogging strollers usually have more room, you should be ok. Also--I have seen older kids using the doubles with younger sibling sometimes & they seem ok for awhile.

Just so you know, they do not have a big basket or anything for storage so you may want to be carrying something like a backpack to sling over the handles. Here's a link to some stroller info/FAQs/pics on Deb's site:
