As we're using our DVC membership for the first time next year, we won't be taking advantage of free dining, so I'm quite keen to sample what's on offer off site.

We're doing three nights at Universal, so will be doing Margaritaville, Sweet Tomatoes and Uno Chicago whilst we're up there, and as for on site meals we'll probably do Yachtsman Steakhouse, Liberty Tree Tavern and Beaches and Cream.

I'm quite keen to sample some other off site venues, as I don't necessarily feel that the value on site for paying guests is the greatest. I'm not interested in travelling miles, but anywhere around Disney or International Drive that I should be considering? :confused3

i enjoyed the Celebration Town Tavern in Celebration.
Less than 10 minutes from Pop Century.

reasonably priced food, good service, nice location.

'Pointe Orlando' (the shopping centre complex on International Drive) has loads of really good restaurants, quite a few have won awards! BUT they are pretty expensive. Heres a link to the website : http://www.pointeorlando.com/dining/

The must-do's there are, Pizzeria Valdiano, The Capital Grille, Copper Canyon Grill, & Taverna Opa.

& everyone raves about 'Best of British Pub' on International Drive, also. http://www.bestofbritishpub.com/

:)

It erally depends what you like but some of our (cheap and cheerful) favourites are: Friendlys, Chilis and Bob Evans. We also like Tony Roma's and Outback, as well as Longhorn Steakhouse, although they are a little bit more pricey.

While you're at Universal its only 10 mins to Cheesecake Factory, our No1 place to eat in past 2 years.
Huge portions, massive menu and reasonable prices. http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/
Mimi's Cafe is another of our faves. http://www.mimiscafe.com/
We enjoyed House of Blues in Feb but I wouldn't pay full price, I got a $50 voucher off $100 from restaurants.com.

We like carrabas - italian, outback - steak, tony romas - ribs, bahama breeze - carribean, cheesecake factory -bit of everything! - all reasonably priced chains.

At the cheaper end of the market we like friendleys diner and flippers a local pizza chain.

For breakfast we like ihop, village inn and perkins.

Hoping to try texas de brasil this trip - endless meat!

One of the main reasons we are offsite this trip is we have missed offsite eating on our last two trips with ddp.

We enjoy Olive Garden & Outback. Ended up eating at Olive Garden 3 times in May - love the breadsticks popcorn::

Really want to try Texas De Brazil too :goodvibes
