Hi everyone, I know similar questions have been asked before but I am after some recommendations of offsite restaurants, something a bit different to steakhouses / burger places (we like a lot of the signature dining places in disney such as Jiko and Flying Fish and are looking for similar sort of food if there is anywhere). I already have places like Texas Roadhouse, Bahama breeze and Longhorns on my list but just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions - particularly some nice seafood places?

If it helps we are staying in Bahama Bay resort and will have a car so are happy to drive a little bit? Just after some thoughts / suggestions really!

Thanks!!!

We stayed at marriott grand vista last august and the concierge recommended Johnnys Hideaway in the crossroads shopping center, essentially at the end of hotel plaza. We ate there and loved it!! Seafood was their specialty and we were very satisfied with the service. We'll be returning there in may for my birthday dinner. We travel from n.j. and make 1 2 week trip or 2 1 week trips per year. We also like Landrys. We stay in disney and outside of disney. We also like Emerils in universals citywalk.

one of the best restaurants in orlando is on disney property, but isn't disney,...

it's the bull & bear at the waldorf...
truly outstanding!!

Ooooh thanks for the suggestions so far not heard of any of those so will have a look on their website today! As much as I love some of the disney signature places, as we are staying offsite they are very expensive to pay OOP so glad to get some recommendations for offsite places!

Keep them coming!!!

I'm not a sea food fan, so can't help you there. One of my favorite places to eat is Chipotle, it's a Mexican Grill that serves Tacos (but it's nothing like Taco Bell, you can't even compare them). I also love Perkins for breakfast, as they have the best omelette I've ever tried :goodvibes

We loved Red Lobster the seafood was great. My DD had lobster pizza which she really enjoyed. We also liked Logan's Roadhouse really good steak but also had seafood on the menu, the desserts there were really nice as well. Hope you find somewhere that you'll enjoy xx

We like to go to Cafe Tu Tu Tango which is on I Drive which has all sorts to choose from & a slightly different dining experiance rather than the usual:) If memory serves me correct they have an online menu to get an idea

I would recommend Olive Garden, there are a few of them dotted around the greater Orlando area but we tend to go to the one on US-192 in Kissimmee or the one opposite the Florida Mall. It's good Italian food. For sea food, Angels on US-192 used to be fantastic. I haven't been for a number of years, but it was a great seafood buffet.

Thanks for all the great suggestions, I've not heard of many of them before which was exactly what I was after - somewhere new to try! Been to Orlando a few times now and whilst we have some old favourites we love to try some new places as well!

There are some lovely places at Dr Phillips! One that we love is Roy's.

And not seafood, but lovely food is PF Changs at Mall at Millennia :)

We stayed at bahama bay and enjoyed it in May - I did a dining review - all new dining on a budget - link in my signature.

Some ideas for places nr bahama bay.

I also did a review from our october offsite trip - dining on a budget - also linkede in my signature.

Lots of pics of offsite eating.

Yes - as mentioned above Roys is very good - hawaian fusion.

Given that the OP asked for similar suggestions to signature dining - can I point out that Olive Garden & Red Lobster, whilst good at what they do & at their price level, the best - are in no way "signature" level restaurants :)

and to be even more pedantic ;) The Bull & Bear at the Waldorf is not "on" Disney property - its on a big strip of land that borders but has no connection with Disney - nice restaurant though but very pricey.

Another really good offsite restaurant is Primo - in the JW Marriot Grande Lakes. Contemporary Italian with many of the ingredients sourced from their own garden.

Hello we stayed at the Bahama Bay resort last year and a new crab shack had just opened it was called "Eat at Joe's "on highway 192.
It had just opened and is only about 5 mins by car from Bahama Bay resort, it was a fun evening and very reasonably priced....Enjoy
