We will be staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek in October.
My daughter has well-controlled epilepsy. The one area that we really need to take precautions with is swimming - she needs 1:1 supervision while she swims, just because having a seizure in the water can be immediately life threatening.
We will be traveling with a group of friends, and I was thinking that one afternoon it might be nice for me to be able to have a drink pool-side with my friends and not have to be on hyper-vigilant swimming duty.
I recognize that this might not be a feasible option, but does anyone know of lifeguard services available in Orlando? Similar to a nanny service I guess, but one that offers lifeguards? I have friends with pools in other areas that often use these types of services to supervise their pool party, so I’m hoping they exist in Orlando too.
Might be wishful thinking, but I was hoping I might be able to bring someone in for an afternoon to give me a break from the 1:1 swimming supervision. I’m picturing just including whoever we hire as part of our group - I don’t intend for them to stand out next to the existing resort staff.
We’ll be doing one Universal Day and one NASA day, otherwise this is purely a resort trip, so there will be lots of swimming! (when we booked the trip, I was planning on the not so scary Halloween party too, but this year’s version starts too late for us)
Any suggestions? Or options I haven’t thought of?
Thanks for any advice you may have!
