Hi all

Are there any offsite hotels that are within walking distance of Disney and the parks?

We're thinking of doing New years eve this year but will stay offsite to keep the costs down.

Walking would be great if its possible!

Although the Explorers hotel has a shuttle bus. I walked it one day, it took around half an hour and there are pavements all the way. We cut through the Santa Fe complex and along the waterway past all the other disney hotels.

It was handy on the way back to stop at the garage next to the Santa Fe to buy some water and snacks.

The holiday inn, Kyriad and another are also in that area so would take a similar amount of time.

The hotels are the Explorers, Holiday Inn, Kyriad and Dreamcastle. The shuttle buses are fine in the day but do get rather manic when the park closes so we usually walk back to the Explorers at night. It's very handy if you've overeaten and need to walk off a large meal! :rolleyes1

A 30 minute walk is not that bad. Are there signs posted so we don't get lost?

I don't recall any but that's not to say there aren't some! :rotfl:

It's impossible to get lost. Walking back to the four offsites (Explorers, Holiday Inn, Kyriad and Dreamcastle) just walk through Disney Village and follow the canal to the Santa Fe, then head for their main building and the garage. This takes you to the main road, you will then see the hotels across the fields and there is pavements/a path all the way there.
