For an intimate wedding, do I need to contact the officiant and check his/her availability, or will my co-ordinator do that after I turn in my worksheets? Also, can I fax my worksheets? I know there is a fax number for my coordinator, but I wasn't sure if it was just for questions.

Thanks in advance!

Yes you need to contact your officiant. All disney does is pay the officiant for intimate weddings. I would be contacting an officiant soon as the good ones go fast. You can also fax your work sheets to your cooridinator. I faxed all our stuff to our coordinator.

How much does Disney pay the officiant for the services performed? As a minister in the habit of doing weddings in my own church this is something that has piqued my curiosity ever since learning Disney is a fave site for weddings.

with thanks in advance for any gentle assistance,

Neil

We had Rev. Jack Day and he charged $125 for an intimate wedding and $175 for a custom wedding

The rates are amazingly in line with what one might pay the officiant should the wedding be anyplace but Disney. I had some fears that the officiants were charging the earth -- but that is $200 US and not the Canadian money I'm used to seeing.

Just what, exactly, is an "intimate wedding" and what is a "custom wedding." Thanks again.

Neil

An intimate wedding is a small ceremony about 1/2 hour maybe a little longer. That's including cake cutting and everything with only 8 guests total. A custom wedding is designed for people who want to have more than 8 guests. It's minimum amount is $7500
