Officiant Script Help?

Alright... so a Memories or Escape wedding is a shorter ceremony.
I want to have my friend officiate for us and she's never done a wedding before. We are kind of lost on what to do and what to say.
The only things I know for sure is that DF wants us to say our own vows (meaning he will spout out some eloquent and beautiful thing and i'll be like "you're awesome") and I know how I want the ring exchange to be worded. But... that's it.
I mean... I can't exactly have my friend just start spouting off 'Princess Bride' quotes.... my family will not GET it if she says, "Mawwage. Mawwage is what bwings us togevah today."

Er... okay I started rambling. so any suggestions or samples or... something? help?

I'm sorry I don't have any constructive advice, but I just wanted to say that if I went to a wedding where they DID start the ceremony with this... It would probably be the best wedding ever

I'm sorry I don't have any constructive advice, but I just wanted to say that if I went to a wedding where they DID start the ceremony with this... It would probably be the best wedding ever

Me: but it would really set the mood (as I fade into giggles)

We are doing an Escape wedding, and DF and I wrote our ceremony. And by wrote our ceremony, I mean we cut and pasted parts of different ones we found online.

Ours is pretty short. We just Googled "secular wedding ceremony" and chopped off parts we liked to form about a 15-20 minute ceremony.

If she's up for extemporaneous speaking, it might be nice to put in a part where she just talks about her relationship with the two of you and the insights she has into your relationship with each other. It's a personal touch that would show why you'd chosen her to officiate and not just someone off a list.
