hi my peeps!

This is a "one - winged" post so don't expect decent spelling.

Surgery was longer than they thought so the line-up was HUGE behind me John said. Doc was glad they put me right out cause i was so nervous just waiting to fall asleep that i was shaking. I came out fine and other than some pain (duh - oh course) I was up & gone 3 hours after waking up.
By bedtime the hand was hurting (not the wrist) and swelling up. Told us SOME swelling would happen. By morning it was HORRID ... couldn't make a fist and it was black & blue. Nother tirp up the road and doc fixed me up. Know how stupi i felt having Joh dress me? please dear put my bra one NO fool the seceond set of clips. then help me pull up my jeans & do up belt. GAWD i felt like a toddler.

So it has been this long to be able to sit here --- and I think it is a bad idea. I think i did too much yesterday (laundry HAD to be done) and I think I mighta pulled a stich (anyone wanna look at it for me?)

GIVE me a reader's digest version please some one since themouse HURTS!

, hope all is well with EVERYONE

grr the stupid chickens.. I ended up going to my friend Amanda's house and we were going to paint a shed out back but then Elise came over (and after spending time with her yesterday she isnt too bad.. but i had to tell her not to treat me like a child and just embrace the fact that I am hyper!) and she agreed that it was too pretty to stay inside or to do work like painting.. so we were going to go to Lake Berryessa but we got lost and ended up in Winters at this cool park .. it was fun.. they had the coolest swing.. i will post a picture of it in a bit.. it was a tire with only 2 chains.. it wa like a normal swing but instead of the little seat it was a tire.. the park was really cool too..

And just what is sooooo FUNNY about that??

its funny because i havent talked to her in forever and it was so random that she would ask me that! :snooty: :lmao: she said she asked because her husband said he would rather move to canada than to Cali.. and she said canada is pretty.. I almost went with Band one year but we were leaving the day before my dad was going to have Major back surgery and I didnt want to be out of the country for a week if something happened... i actually am supposed to own land in canada but when my grandma passed away I was too young to deal with anything and my parents unfortunatly at the time were strung out and stuff and didnt handle things and my aunt took veerything my grandparents left to everyone for herself.. the only thing anyone got that wasnt her was a bear that I got because my other aunts and uncles (and my parents) fought for it for me.. and I still have it! :teeth:

Hey Guys!

I got this email from my aunt, the one that was in the hospital from early april to early september and I thought I would share because I have talked about her before and havent really said how she has been doing recently... so who better to tell it than herself..

"I realize that Scotty and I have kind of dropped the ball as far as keeping everybody updated on my recovery. So I decided to sit down and send this out, and bring everyone up to date.

Well, where to start. Obviously my arm has improved by leaps and bounds. I am able to use my arm and hand much more. I am typing this with both hands and that is a massive improvement. It doesn't seem like that long ago that my right hand couldn't even do the mouse on the computer. I can raise my right arm high enough to hug Scotty around his shoulders and that is really nice. I have refused to be disabled. I can sweep, do dishes, cook and so many other things it is amazing.

My walking also has improved by leaps and bounds. I have said "Bye Bye" to my walker and am using a cane. And the best thing is I am about to say "Adios" to it too. I am stalling a little on that because I am having surgery in the middle of March and I want to make sure I am feeling secure enough without it. I am able to walk rather well and I can do the mall and other shopping centers real well. Which pleases the girls a lot. Shopping centers and malls were great places to practice because the ground is level.

Health wise I am doing really good. Everyone else in the house has been sick with colds and other ailments and I haven't. I contribute that in a lot of ways to the fact that I am constantly using anti-bacterial gel and making sure I have no germs on me. The DR is going to reverse my Ileostomy on March 14. I could not be more thrilled. I will be able to restart my diet full force. I am down 150 pounds from where I started in August of 2006 and I intend to continue on the road to good health. I will also be able to resume aerobics and other exercise that I need to do.

I have taken a lot of time to think my experiences of the past year through and I have come to many conclusions. The main one is the good Lord saw fit to answer the many prayers of my loved ones and friends. And I am as the new DR I saw last week said, "a walking miracle." DR Brunk had just read my chart and he thought that he was going to see a crippled weak person in the examination room. Boy was he surprised to see a strong woman sitting up in the chair reading a book. It literally took him a while to gain composure enough to conduct the exam. He did not expect me to be able to shake his hand or to be able to stand on my own two feet. He was thrilled and planned to go see the DR who had treated me in ICU to tell him just how wonderful I am. DR Brunk has assured me that my March surgery is a walk in the park compared to the things I have gone through already.

I not only owe my wonderful recovery to our lord but I also owe a debt of gratitude to the wonderful therapy I received in San Leandro at KPPAC. My physical therapist Jane who would not allow "I can't" to be a part of my vocabulary and Jennifer my occupational therapist who tortured me endlessly with exercise like picking up cards with my right hand. Oh yes these women were relentless at their torture that they did to me. And I thank God everyday that I get out of bed and dress myself and brush my hair and that I met these wonderful women. They were patient with me, on the many times I cried and said I couldn't do things and they wouldn't take that for an answer. "Can't" will never be a part of my vocabulary again. I can walk and I can use my right arm and hand. Yes I can.

Thank you all for caring and being there in prayer and in thought.

Michele"

thanks everyone who had her in their prayers and stuff.. just a little more time and she will be A-OK! 100%
