***Officially Official September 2017 Thread***

It did. At first. Now it has it going in a circle and Saturday going northwest.

Here are the models from Cyclocane. Almost all of the models have it missing Florida. From what I can see, if it doesn't take a northern turn by Saturday afternoon, that's when it could present a problem.al122017.png Screen Shot 2017-09-11 at 3.13.20 PM.png al122017.png Screen Shot 2017-09-11 at 3.13.20 PM.png Screen Shot 2017-09-11 at 3.17.10 PM.png

If you look at the models, it has Jose looking like it's headed for Florida right up to Saturday morning. Then, according to most of the models, it takes a northern turn. That's what I say, if it hasn't taken that turn by Saturday afternoon, that's when we need to really stand up and take notice. From what I can tell, the currents that Jose is running into should pull it out to sea, at least to the north. I'd say the northeast US has more to worry about with Jose than Florida does.

Yeah. Also worried about the northeast. We're flying out of NY on the 19th.

Right. NOAA composites show 25% of models have it turning towards FL, 25% have it hitting Newfoundland, and 50% habe it heading into open ocean. So, for the optimist in me, 75% of model paths show it NOT hitting Florida. And as we saw, with Irma, models are at best educated wild a$$ guesses. Between now and Saturday it could do anything, including dissipate.

I feel like I have been holding my breath for a week. I had a really busy day at work, when I really just wanted to be watching the news and seeing what damage there was to Orlando! Irma could have been so much worse!! I, too had to leave the Irma thread, as it was just stressing me out! Now, I feel like I can breathe and to start to get excited again for our trip. I am so excited about staying at WL and going to Volcano Bay, and of course Pandora!

I just don't have the mental energy at this point to get worked up over Jose. I need like a few day break from hearing phrases like "hunker down", "European model", "trending to the East".... :badpc:

The spokesman for the National Hurricane Center said it is supposed to fall apart in the Atlantic. The media just won't let it go because that isn't as newsworthy as pummel, destroy, etc etc. He is quoted in the Miami Herald as saying he has taken his own hurricane shingles down.

Get excited, I am!!!

And funny thing, we went to check on oyr flights and were able to bump to first class for $50 i guess because a lot of people canceled...

Joining in with those that feel they can really get excited again about our vacations! We leave Friday morning! Done with work until after we get back, but have some other commitments that are going to keep me VERY busy this week. Actually really stressed about being ready to go in time!!

This time next week we'll be in Hollywood Studios looking forward to our meal at 50s Prime Time!!!

We eat there this Wednesday! Hope you have a good time there :)

We'll be eating there this Saturday!

Keeping an eye on Jose as we are to fly out on Sunday evening (back to PA). YC said they can accommodate us if necessary to stay longer.
