***Officially Official September 2017 Thread***

Jumping in with our (crazy) plan for this short trip:

9/4 Travel, F&W, AK
9/5 MK, Pool and/or DVC tour, SW Dessert Party, EP EMH
9/6 HS, AK, HEA Dessert Party
9/7 EP EMH and travel home

I do realize this is crazy. We love hopping, are planning on using Express Transportation, and are staying at Poly so that makes things a little easier. The goal of this trip is for me to ride the thrill rides so we will be skipping many of our normal rides. I am trying to get over my fears so I can go on rides with my husband and daughter without freaking out. (Oh and the APs are totally burning a hole in my pocket. I NEEDED a third trip.)

Now my dilemma is that I finally found a FP for FoP for our first day but it is in the early afternoon. We already have a beverage seminar booked for EP for that afternoon, so I think we are going to be going to AK from Poly for just the FP, then over to EP for the afternoon and early evening, and then back to AK for EE etc. Fingers crossed that I can get a better time between now and Sept!

Guys guess what!?

*Part of the reason I'm excited is because it's one less ride closed during my trip but also I think I can convince my husband to ride the Earth one just one time then I'll let him go on the Mars one as much as he wants. He found the Green side previously too tame to really enjoy it, which they still kept it tame after the refurb*

So cute! Did you make them or buy them? If you bought them- which shops? I'm always on the lookout for new ear makers :)

I bought them, I wish I was that crafty!
The top ones are classic ears from the parks of course.
The floral ones in the second row are from The Mermaid Harp. She has her own website, you can also see them on instagram
The spaceship earth ears are from Uptown ears on Etsy
The three princess ears (Rapunzel, Ariel, & Anna) are from Modern Mouse boutique on Etsy
And finally the Beauty & the Beast ones are from Shop My Mouse on Etsy

There also another shop that I haven't been able to snag ears from and now I'm too short on time to get them but Bibbidibobbidibrooke has the most magical ears and I so wish I had some.

Hope you might find some you like pixiedust:

I'm like insanely happy about this!
My brother is coming with us for the first time and this is one ride he found that he really wanted to ride. And I was worried it wasn't gonna be back

We are staying at the Poly at the same time. Looks like the only other overlap would be Epcot on the 5th.

I love the spaceship earth ears! so cool!!

That's what I will be doing this weekend. Planning out my daily outfits...lol. I have my kids onboard too. My hubby thinks we are nuts...just throw some stuff in a suitcase and go. he doesn't understand that you have to coordinate your outfit to the park you will be in that day!:dancer:

I've been trying to plan my outfits, I don't have very much for Disney themed or Disney bounding sadly but I did try to match my ears to the outfits and my red glitter bow ears clash with some of the outfits so I shall just have to order the rose gold glitter bow ears that I wanted. :rotfl:
I wish I had put more thought into my outfits last time, just to look nice in the photos. (Especially my Disneyland pics, whey did I think scruffy jeans - not the scruffy, ripped and worn in a cool way type of jeans - would be great for the photos :sad2:).

Haha yeah. He doesn't like it either. I don't like 100% match us. Just so we look nice together in pictures. Doesn't always work out though. He wears some pretty crazy looking shirts :faint:

I love changing up my ears!
I have seven for this trip, which I feel like I went a little overboard but oh well. I'll have fun with it :hyper:

These are the ones for my trip

I love all those ears, such great choices.

It's great but ruins my plans now because I though it wasn't going to happen, back to the plans. :surfweb:

I feel you.

I have a spreadsheet and word documents with all the stuff we would want to do (and listed as MS for Must See and TP for Time Permits) and I had deleted Mission Space off since the refurb was extended. Then we got word that it would open back up in August but I didn't want to add it until we had an opening date so then I found out today (actually from rteez on the News Round Up thread) soooooo then I went back to adding it onto the 3 lists I had.

Then the question got brought up about FP being loaded in the system....I checked and it's been loaded into the system. So then off to look at FPs. I went ahead and swapped out our Living with the Land FP with Mission: Space FP and for the exact same time on the same day. I figure with the ride being reopened (and readjusted for a lower height requirement) right around a month it may be busier than in the past.

The only kicker is my husband will want to go on the Orange/Mars side whereas I'll want to go on the Green/Earth side. We'll have to see if we'll split up or if we'll ride the Green/Earth on the FP and then have my husband ride the Orange/Mars by himself without a FP.

Ugh soo much to think about :faint:

I'm thinking of replacing my Spaceship Earth FP for Mission Space at the same time. I thought the same as you, it'll be busy now its opened up.

Yay! I kept hearing different dates and really wanted to add it to the plans. Now the question of which side to ride! Or both.

I was able to swap out Pixar Films for Mission Space.

So which side/color is the best? We can't choose this until we get there right?
As far as we know it will be the same as it was before where you choose by telling the CM once you are a certain point in line (I haven't done FP for the ride but I would assume you will still be telling the CM which side). There hasn't been any indication of a separate entrance for each side at this time.

As for which side is the best..that's totally up to you but the Orange/Mars mission is the one that is more intense.

I do believe they have kept it as intense. The description for Orange on Disney's website still has the following:
upload_2017-7-27_12-57-10.png

I don't think they adjusted the Orange side as far as the movements..at least I don't think??

Here's the announcement from D23 regarding the changes from the refurb:
Mission Space stuff starts at 7:19 into the video to 8:05. Sorry couldn't find a YouTube video that only had Mission Space stuff and without all the other things the YouTubers put in.

:D

I am so not into spinning and stuff so I'll leave the Orange/Mars to my husband (he loves that type of stuff) but my question is can I convince him to ride the Green/Earth side just once . Last time we rode it and he was like "that Green side is lame" :rotfl:. That's why I mentioned in another comment I'm not sure if we'll split on the FP (assuming they keep it like that have in the past where you just tell the CM which side you want vs a separate entrance) or if he'll ride with me on the Green/Earth side one time and then ride the Orange/Mars side by himself.

I do know that the Orange/Mars side has been more popular=longer waits but I'm not completely sure now right after it opens if that will be the case or not especially since the height restriction was lowered for the Green/Earth side (well allowing for a "X-2 booster seat") and a new mission being used for Green/Earth.

I just swapped my FP for Nemo to Mission Space. Yay! I wonder if they kept Gary Sinise. Half the fun of that ride was yelling 'yes Lt. Dan!'

We are in the same boat. I always do Green, but my husband won't even try it since he likes the spinning. I can handle spinning rides in general, so I don't think I will have a problem, but all the scary signs always freak me out and I switch to Green! Maybe he would ride Green with me since it is new.
