Official WW thread!

Started WW on my own this past week. I will weigh on Friday 9/12 to see my first week's loss. Been on WW before so I have all of the food plans, points, etc. Can someone explain the new Flex Points? What is different than the previous points plan?

Thank you.

Sorry gang, I have to keep bumping this up as it helps me keep track of my weight loss since I started WISH and overall.

Well, after 2 weeks of only losing .2:rolleyes: (I was too aggravated to post those results) I finally went and lost 1.8 this past week. I am at 201.2 and am hoping to be under that 200 mark for the first time in 6 years very soon.

So, I have lost 10.2 since starting WISH and 17.2 since really getting serious. I'm scared to go get that 10lb clippie for fear that I won't be able to hang onto it! I think I'll give it one more week!:D

Well, I did for the first time in many years I am under 200!!! After a .4 gain last week, (TOM), I lost 2.8 this week!! I clocked in at 198.6. I am so happy and hope I NEVER see that 200 mark again!!:teeth: So that is 13 lbs since starting WISH..think I'll grab that 10 lb clippie today and 20 lbs in total.

Hi! Can I join your official WW thread? ;) I have been on and off dieting for the last year, and just started WW 3 weeks ago. The first two weeks I lost 4 lbs each week, and I will weigh in again tomorrow. However, I am dreading it! I just got back from a trip to the beach yesterday, AND Tom is paying a visit! So, my weigh in may be scary! :earseek: I'm back on track though, and trying not to beat myself up for a few slips...

I just noticed this WW thread and it is great! I really love the WW program and find it very interesting to talk to other WW members. I posted a thread recently because I had a bad weekend and got off track. I recieved so many wonderful replys here on WISH that it just kept me motivted. I especially like to hear other WW stories and tips so I hope this thread keeps going!

Well, after quite a stall, I am losing again. Christmas wreaked havoc on me. Only gained 6 lbs, but took me this long to get my act back together. **SIGH** I am now at 192.6 and that makes 19 lbs on Wish and 26 lbs in total. I'll wait till I reach that 20 lb mark and change my clippie.

Welcome to all on this great WW thread! WW is a great balanced program and I hope you can all be successful with it! I rejoined last fall after I wasn't able to get "baby weight" off after a year and a half after DS was born. I just hit my goal weight again (I am a LM) this past week after a 2lb loss for the week. Feels great! I still need to figure out some toning as things still don't quite fit as they used to. WW is a great program for long term though, and as a Lifetime Member, I plan on sticking with the program long term this time - I think it needs to remain in focus to keep maitenance successful. It will just be nice to move it to more of a "back burner" once I am maintaining. We are planning our WDW trip for May, so my incentive is to feel ok in a bathing suit and shorts again here.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!

I started WW 2/6/03. I so thought I would be at goal by now but I'm still 30 lbs. away!! Its my own fault because since fall I've just been fooling around too much and basically maintaining or making small progress. I need to get on the ball and get this thing tackled though! Sometimes I get discouraged and think I shouldn't keep paying the $$ when I'm struggling with staying on track every day, but I'm afraid if I quit I'd really go off the bandwagon.

So, I'm renewing my commitment to eat healthy and not give in to temptation!! Its great to read how others are doing on the plan!
Keep up the good work!!!

Liz -

Keep up with your committment with continuing with the meetings. You are right when you say if you drop out, you will likely go "off the bandwagon". I have found that I personally need the consistancy of the meetings and the weigh-ins to keep things mentally in the forefront. Even if you are stalled out, you are likely not gaining as much as you would if you totally scrap the plan. Weightloss is as much mental as it is physical, and I think having the structure is often needed.

Keep up the good work and do not give up - you are still in reach of your goal!!!

Jen

Thanks for bumping this thread back to the top, it is nice to see where I was back in August! It surprises me how my goals have changed, back then I was shooting to weigh 155 by February and here I sit within 5 pounds of that goal! However, somewhere along the line I modified that goal because my new goal is 148, so just under 12 pounds for me (unless I modify that goal again...lol).

Another 1.2 lbs bringing me down to 191.4. I am so itching to break that 190 mark!!! 20.2 lbs on WISH and 27.2 lbs in total.

Can I have three good weeks in a row? Let's hope so! :D

I started on weight watchers about 1 1/2 months ago. Lost three punds the first week and felt pretty good. Since then we decided to do some remodeling in the house and I really fell off the wagon. I didn't gain, but didn't follow the plan, and ate to much fast food. Well, now the remodeling is pretty much done, and I intend to get back on track, I even bought and did the WATP tapes today. So, here we go again. Good luck to everyone.
:)

Hello Everyone!

This is my 3rd week on WW and I have lost alittle more than 6 pounds. I was on SBD before and I started gaining therefore I switched. I feel more comfortable with this plan anyhow.

I hope everyone has a great week! :sunny:

Hello! I wanted to introduce myself. I think I will be here a lot!!

I was on the WISH board last summer with the Atkin's program. I did great, then...life happened and had a hard time with the low carb thing. My problem is that I like food--all food. Yes, it would probably be easy for me to loose if I did not like pasta, pizza, ice cream and spiced chia latte. But, I do and when I stop eating them, I feel life is unfair.

I had joined WW 4 years ago, but had a difficult time making the meetings. I tried to do it on my own, but had no support network. Then a friend told me last week about WW online. So, I did it!! I joined...I already feel lighter:) .

OK...I need to go find a dinner that is only 6 pounds. (yup! I blew through all those points today!) .........Lee

YIKES! :earseek: I hope you mean 6 POINTS! ROFL

I've finished 7 weeks on program (online) and, I've lost 20.5 lbs so far! I have a long way to go but, that first 20 feels soooo good now that it's gone! :sunny:

I have some experience with WW from years ago but, never with this much weight to lose. I know it's gonna be a while but, I think I'm committed for the long haul! ::yes::

:wave2: everyone!!

I had a good week and lost 3.2 today! Was very surprised because I had a couple of "not so good" days in there. My total is now 77 lbs. and I got my 75 lb. refrigerator magnet today! Now I need to come up with another short term goal. I guess that would be 80 lbs.

If any of you have Albertsons grocery stores around you, they have Smart Ones on sale this week for a dollar each! I bought 12 and plan on going back for more! I had the grilled chicken & broccoli pizza and it was very good. I hate "spending" 8 pts. on one thing but it was very filling.

Do you guys have any tips of what you do if you want to be assured of having a good weight loss at the scale? I know I lose better if I stay away from breads and for some reason when I eat Smart Ones I always seem to lose really well. Even when I stay within my points if I've eaten a lot of bread I just don't seem to lose very well. Its weird. What are your tips for a great weigh in at the scale?

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!

KimRaye--Good for your on your weight lose!!:Pinkbounc

I did make my 6 points!! I felt so darn good when I climbed into bed last night!! I, too think that I am committed to this for the long haul.:) ........Lee

Good job on the weight loss Liz! :) Water and veggies help me keep my weight down. I also stay away from beef the closer I am to my WI. How are the Smart Ones? I've always wanted to try them but they're not for sale in Canada.

I thought I had seen in the past a website someone had made of all kinds of point values for different foods. Does anyone know the name of it or a site like it?

Thanks everyone!:wave2:
