How about an official Weight Watchers thread? No matter where you are week or weight wise... let's make this our thread!

I have been on program for one week and lost 5.8 pounds at my first weigh in! I have been very careful to stay low to mid point range and am drinking my H2O faithfully! Now that the humidity is gone, I'm going to add some walking onto that!

 Hello Fellow Weight Watchers!

Great Job on your first week loss! That is such a great feeling when you start your weight loss on such a good number.

I lost 2 pounds this week, which is good because I was really worried since I didn't loose anything last week and I was doing everything right (except I had 2 days where I went under my range of points.

I was not very good about my water, fruit or dairy, so this week I have been working on those 3 things. I have gotten my water up to 8-10 glasses a day (except yesterday I only reached 6).

I started Week 16 yesterday, and had a loss of .8. I had hoped for more, especailly after a gain of 1.4 the last week, but a loss is still a loss. I have told myself I need to go back to journaling, that has made all the difference in my big loss weeks. Congrats on losses, everyone!

I am in the middle of week 25 and I have lost a total of 34 pounds on WW plus another 9 pounds before that on my own for a total loss of 43 pounds. My weight loss is slower than most because I eat all of my points most days and I still enjoy my daily ice cream. Lately because of the extreme heat in europe my eating has been very erratic, but I am not gaining so I am happy. I have 20-23# to lose until I reach my goal and I am estimating I will reach that goal in February 2004. I exercise faithfully at least three times a week and I do 45 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weight training each day I work out.

Congratulations to everyone!

We're going camping this weekend... burgers, chips, beer...... I already said... NO BEER... and I'm going to work the burgers in with my points..... I bought "WOW" chips for me. It's do-able.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.... here's to hoping it cools down!

mermaid - welcome to WISH and WW!

have you tried Boca cheeseburgers? they aren't bad and they're only 2 pts. I eat with tomato, lettuce, pickle and mustard alone for 2 pts or on a 1 pt bun if available!

Michelob Ultra beer - 2 pts each ;)

I find it easier to stay OP (on plan) if I adjust to suit my needs and not just deprive myself. WOW chips - you got the idea!

Your first weeks loss is awesome! I've been doing WW on my own for about 5 - 5 1/2 months and have lost 21 lbs. I'm happy with that!

I will weigh in tomorrow morning and am hoping for weight loss three weeks in a row. I will report back.

Mermaid02, congratulations on the weight loss! I also do WW and I really like it. WW works for me and I don't feel deprived and I find that I don't have a lot of cravings because I can eat what I want, but in moderation. I started WW for the 3rd time July 16 and I've lost 12.2 pounds. I haven't set a goal yet, I think I will do that after I lose my first 10%. Congratulations on the losses everyone and good luck with losing more!

Congrats on a great first week! :) You can do this and I am so glad that you have decided to join WISH.

I started WW on 3/31/03 (don't know how many weeks that is) and I have lost 35 pounds. :) I am actually doing the WW program on my own and just using WISH for support and accountability. It seems to be working for me. I get lots of great ideas and help here that make it possible.

I've been on WW since late February. I lost 28 pounds in about 4 months to make goal. I made Lifetime a couple of weeks ago! (You'd think I'd remember the exact dates, huh?)

I am going to try to lose about 5 more pounds -- not sure if that will be a good weight for me or not. I don't seem to have much trouble maintaining the weight I'm at, but I'll have to see how it works out. If not, I can definitely live where I am! Haven't been this weight since before kids! (Oldest will be 18 in a couple of weeks!!)

I'm just starting week 8 and so far I've lost 10 pounds. I seem to be averaging about 1 pound a week which is fine with me :) I'm faithfully drinking water and measuring out my portions. I only have little ways to go before I reach my 10% so hopefully that will happen sometime in September!

Another pound gone! I've reached my goal of losing three weeks in a row! Can I make it four??:smooth: I've lost 3.6 lbs since seriously starting AGAIN three weeks ago. And this is the first time I've been this "lite" in two years. Maybe I'll earn that 5 lb clippie soon! :D

Happy Monday fellow Weight Watchers! Had a FANTASTIC weekend camping! Went to a prime rib dinner saturday and lobster feed yesterday (that's MY kind of camping!) My dh is a Shriner and he had to be in a parade- these were Shrine events. I did GREAT at the meal saturday.... ate ONLY the meat. I knew it was a lot of points and I REALLY like it, so I ate that and skipped all the trimmings (including strawberry shortcake!) Then yesterday had 2 lobsters (1- 1 1/2 pounders.... softshell) again, skipped dessert. I would have rather had the lobster. Shunned the whole melted butter thing.... ended up feeling pretty good about myself!;)

My weigh in is tonight..... pretty excited and would love to weigh in NOW!

Hi all!

Okay, this is my first DAY of WW today! I've been eating well, getting my water, working out, but I think I need a bit more structure. Key words: portion control.

I'm very excited about starting the program. I've got all the materials and have done tons of research, so I AM READY!

What a great thread this is! I love the support and encouragement of the WISH board. You all are the best!

Daisy;)

"Key words: portion control"

That's a big one for me too Daisy! I have lived the "more is better" lifestyle for YEARS now! It shocked me when I saw how much (or how little) a serving of ice cream was! 2 bites and it's gone! I think I'm getting it though.

Any other WW's out there who got the new program last night? I think this is going to be GREAT for me. I really like the idea of being able to put those "Flex Points" where I need them when I need them!

What do you think???

Welcome Daisy, you will love WW"s! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Mermaid02, I also got my new WW Flex Point info last night. I am really excited about it. This is my second day on it, and I really didn't eat any differently last night. I had 22.5 points for the day. My range was 20-25. My target now is 22, so I used .5 of my 35 points so far.

I like the extra flexibility that I get now.

Melanie

Well, after gaining 3/4 of a lb last week, I weighed today and lost 3.8 lbs! The only thing I can figure is maybe I was holding water last week. It was extremely hot here that week and even though I thought I drank enough water, maybe I didn't! Who knows???? I can't figure my body out some weeks!!! So that is 7.4 lbs since starting WISH!!

I think I'm doing good so far. My first WI I lost 5 lbs, my second I gained .4 lbs, and my third I lost 2.4 lb (my first week on flex points) so I lost a total of 7 lbs in three weeks. I generally get my water in and journal duing the week at work, but it is so much harder on weekends - between all the running, and cleaning and taking care of DS (4yrs), I lucky I eat 3 meals, let alone drink a glass of water or write anything down!

Now, All I have to do is start exercising! Can anyone help push me? The only real free time I could have is if I get up earlier, and I get up between 5:15 and 5:30 am now! I really don't want to give up my after work time with DS, it is the only real time I get with him!

I lost another .6 this week. Not much, but considering I lost a fairly large amount last week and the BF is passing through this week, I'll take it!! :D The one thing that I can honestly say is since I've gotten my eating habits under better control, I don't have the sugar cravings as bad as I used to around TOM.

Anyways, 8lbs gone since getting serious on WISH and 15 lbs gone in total.:D
