Official WW thread!

Well, I bought mine on Ebay  but, some stores carry them, I'm told and, I think most meetings should have products. I do WW online but, I think anybody can go into a meeting just to buy products, if they want. :sunny:

Just doing a weekly check in...I had (what I thought) a bad week with my points. We left town for some appointment last Thrusday and Friday. One of the things we had planned was to go to a foundation dinner....which i saved and saved my flex points for.

Well at dinner I think I did ok...used the rest of my daily points and dipped into the flex points...what topped it off was the brownee I had for dessert.

But then I didn't think much about how I was going to handle Friday...all day out and about. So I did my best....which still ened up using the rest of my flex points for the week.

Well back to the point. I was feeling so bad about how bad I had done...I was thinking about skipping weight in on Monday. I really didn't want to know how bad it was. But then I told my self that there would be some bad times along this journey and to really know how bad it was I needed to go and get weighed in.

So off I went yesterday...very nervious and scarred to see the results..I was even talking to the weigh in gal about what a bad week I had when she told me...well it couln't have been that bad you still lost!!! My biggest loss yet....4.8 lbs.

I'm still worried that some how it was wrong and next Monday it will show up.

I did do alot of additional exercising last week...went swimming, walked more and on Friday we walked so much when we were out of town that my whole body hurt....So I guess all that added walking and swimming payed off.

I was wondering, on WW, where should my calories come from? 33/33/33 (fat/carb/protin)? I was doing some looks on FitDay, and I am mainly carbs

What a nice surprise for you Scrapperjill - sometimes your body will surprise you! Don't count on it every "bad" week though, it can eventually catch up, but it sounds like you had a lot of nice activity to balance out. I am surprised now that I am in maintenance, how much I can "get away with" - especially if I stay active. I think when people consistantly eat low points your body gets used to it and slows metabolism down. If you can shake things up once in a while, it is a good thing. I've always been a fan of an "every other day" approach to low point eating - if I eat low (or right on target) one day, the next day I make sure to use some flex points to keep my system guessing. Seems to work for me anyway. Good job!!

Banzai - I can't remember are you doing meetings, or online program? If you can hit a WW center, they have some nice hand-outs on how to balance your points (actually I think they may be in the week 1 or 2 materials too). It depends on your lifestyle if you want to do an even split between the Fat/Carb/Protein, or if you favor protein, then cut back in the carb/fat points. They have some pie charts that were helpful in showing a balancing. If you can't get them, PM me and I'll try to scan and send directly.

We have a party tonight, so I am not sure how strict I am going to be, but I will balance out later in the week. I weighed in this past week and was still right at goal, so that is good. We leave for WDW in a week now, and I was actually hoping to be down a couple of extra before we leave to allow for some "fudge room" since we eat different on vacations. Although somehow the extra walking etc seem to balance out ok for me - I've been to WDW in the past and successfully maintained and sometimes lost due to the extra walking - hoping it stays true this time. This trip I will also be chasing a 2 yr old little guy around too, so that should sweat off the extra poundage from a couple of Mickey Bars.

Hope everyone has a great week - I'll try to check in again before we leave.

Jen

First off, I weighed in today and lost another 2 pounds. This is my smallest loss so far, but this is probally for two reasons:

1. The frist were water weight...and the sad reason,
2. I didn't reccord all my points right away :(

However, that week is over and gone, and it's a new week, with a fresh start. I can't let a few slip ups take me off of what I started, and what I am determaned to do. I may have cheated, but I still managed to lose two pounds, and I got a new clippie out of this week :D

Jen,

I am not really doing full WW. I have the point calculator, and the stuff from when my mom did it a while back. Rather than keep my own journal, I am using The Journal To Success and FitDay to keep track of things.

Have a great week everyone and...

Happy Mother's Day!

Well, I was a Loser this week! LOL!;) I lost another .4 -- geez, is this going slow!

I am doing much better at Curves. I have lost a total of 8 inches!:D I have been trying to go a minimum of 3 times a week and walk my dog every night after dinner. My husband said he would start joining me for my nightly walks too!

Good luck to everyone this week!
Happy Mother's Day!

Sue:wave:

wohooooooooooo Im down 1.6 pounds this week!!!

YYIIIIPPPPPIIIIEEEEEE!!
LOL

I just bought these...they're 0 points!

NB: I'm an original 123 successer, my pointsfinder goes up to 10 g fiber, not 4+. It's the program I lost the most weight on, so it's the one I always go back to...when it ain't broke!

Just tried them for dinner. Two wraps, 5 oz chicken breast, european salad mix, and some lite balsamic basil vin dressing, for a delicious and satisfying 6 point dinner. So lite, I had a beer with it!

And I'm still a looser. I was worried all week about the big loss I had the week before...hoping it was correct. I kept thinking to myself that somehow it couldn't be right and the scale would show it this week. Well I'm one pound lighter than I was last week, meaning I'm still a looser....I love being a looser  . One pound is good for me. :), of course I'd love more...but one is GOOD.

I really need to get into the groove of getting more active....I have every intention to get out and do stuff but always find some thing to do in the house :(. Maybe this week I'll do better.

:Pinkbounc Congrats to all you losers! ;)

I unfortunately was not a loser this week...actually gained .2 pounds...but not going to worry about it..considering we had been on vacation the whole weekend, I had just stuffed my face with a smartone and am quite bloated this week. Fingers are crossed for a loss this week though.

Congrats again to everyone!

I just joined WW online yesterday. I am very excited. Now I have to plan my meals for the week. . . .

May I welcome you and, just suggest that you take it one day at a time? I do WW online also and, I do each day the night before. Ya never know what ya might be craving/doing during the week and, you can always plan around it if needed. ;)

I hope to be claiming my 40 lb clippie either this week or next, if that's any incentive. I joined up about Jan. 12th I think.

Onward and Downward!!! WISHers LOVE LOSERS!!!! :hyper:

:sunny:

Went to weigh in yesterday...and it showed a 3.2 loss. So I'm still on the looser list:hyper: I just love that list. I was also able to clam a new clippie. :)

While I was there I picked up a couple boxes of "2 point bars". I've never tryed them before...but they look good. They were having a special where you buy one and get one free. The free box was either sweet crisp or PB and jelly. I selected the PB & Jelly bars...and some choclate bars. Everyone one at the meeting said they were good...I guess I'll find out.

Our topic at the meeting yesterday was about platues and not getting discuraged when the scale dosen't always show the loss.

I've been wondering how the online WW works? I had initially planned on doing WW on line..but like the visual person to person attention for getting started. So my idea was to go get my stuff...learn about WW and how it works and either go solo or sign up online. Ive found I look forward to the meetings once a week and checking the scale.

Way to go Jill and Binny!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I also had a loss today of 3.0 :Pinkbounc Just love seeing that number come down the scale!

I "maintained" this week dissapointed because I thought I had a great week.

Has it already been a week since last weigh in?...Well I guess so it's Monday again...still on the looser list with a 1.2 loss. I was really hoping for more but hey I'll take 1.2 any day or week :).
It has been working real well with my meeting time on Monday evenings. I wasn't to sure if I'd be able to make it week after week but I've found it is a good time for me. I normally work on Monday nights so a early evening meeting before work is good. Just found out though that next Monday (Memorial day) they will be closed. So I will either need to wait a whole week or try and find a diffrent meeting time. Hmmm. I am real...real close to my 10% goal and have my fingers crossed that by next week I'll be there... So on one hand I'd like to go and see if I made it to 10% but then on the other hand I would like to wait until my regular meeting time with all the others that are in that meeting also. Well I guess I have a whole week to think it over.

Hello All!:wave2: I started WW almost 2 weeks ago, lost 4lbs on my first weigh in. Im adjusting ok, of course some days are better than others, but im very happy. Its a very flexible plan.

Welcome...tinktwins...and congratulations on your loss. It also took me a little adjusting the first couple weeks...getting use to all the points and trying to maximize my daily points while trying to balance them throughout the day. It's been 6 weeks and I'm still learning.

Taking it one day at a time is the best way to do it. If you totaly flop one day start right back up the next. Don't get discouraged..like you said it is a VERY flexable plan. And it works.:)

Congratulations. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
