Official Wine & Dine 2014

Actually this is a good question to ask the thread... is it just my race anxiety that forces me to catch the first or second bus to ESPN? Are there some of you that get there closer to start time and feel comfortable with that timing?

Last year my sister was with me but this year I'll be out there waiting by myself:( which will NOT be fun.

I am usually on the bus about 30 minutes before the listed bus cutoff time. Last year BW had some bus issues and we finally got on the bus about 15 minutes before the listed cutoff time and the line was almost back to the lobby.

If you are one to get nervous about not getting there in time, then definitely get on an earlier bus. Your wait in line will be shorter and you won't get all freaked out.

::yes:: I HATE feeling late and rushed, so I get on an early bus for all WDW races. I'd much rather sit around for a while, relaxing, than arrive all stressed out.

Ditto!!! I am that way with all races - runDisney or not!!! But then again I'm like that with my life. In fact almost compulsive. LOL!

I'm always either on an early bus or a bus right in the middle. These races cost so much, I don't want to risk missing the start!

Me too. I'm running a non-Disney race this weekend and driving to it with a friend (it's about an hour from our house). I feel bad because I want to leave SO early in the am to get there, and I can tell she's more of a "roll in just before the start" type!

Does anyone know if the tickets purchased through the online store can be upgraded to annual passes? We paid for 7 day park hoppers and are now considering returning for the princess so we might as well just get annual passes.

It is my understanding that they cannot be upgraded:(

Disney policy is not to upgrade.

BUT- my running partner went to CS at MK before she used her ticket during wine and dine and said that she got into the Princess and would like to buy an AP and the very nice CM upgraded or exchanged her ticket for her. It does not hurt to ask...

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I'll try that :)

Hi everyone. Can anyone with previous experience tell me about the pre-race taste? I know it's filling up quickly, but I'm kind of at a loss whether to do this or not. It sounds like just 4 booths samples, one drink and that's it? For $80? Am I missing something?

We tried last year and they said no. I saw someone had better luck, but it didn't work for us. I assume you are talking about the discounted tickets as part of the race weekend? We have upgraded other tickets before, but not the discounted race weekend tickets.

Yes, we bought a 7 day hopper from the online race store at the deep discount. Sad they didn't let you!

I would recommend asking and if you get a no, then ask another cast member. If you still get a no, then try after you have used the ticket for one day.

Haha, so be persistent? I can do that! Is there one place better than the other to ask? MK vs transportation center?

Thanks for the advice. It sucks because i like to plan and get everything in order and I have everything ready except I didn't think ahead to the next race!

Quick question: I ran my first 10 mile race today in 1:55:10, which is 11.5 minutes per mile. If I submit that time to RunDisney, is it fast enough to move up a few corrals at the Wine & Dine? Thanks!

What did you originally submit? If it's faster than what you originally submitted or if you didn't submit anything originally, I'd say yes, absolutely...I would definitely submit it! If nothing else it'll get you starting before all of the runners that will come in without submitting anything.

Great job on your race!!
