Huh... I haven't been a Disney runner for very long, but that's the first time I've seen a half go before a challenge.

Yeah, I'm really surprised by that as well.

Yep, the 10K was the first to go. Smallest number of spots available for that race, I think (between it being a smaller race to begin with and most of the spots being taken by challenge runners). It's pretty common for the 10K to be the first race to sell out for any runDisney weekend.

Actually, I think it did! Two hours is much longer than last year.

What this tells me is that I am not the only one who likes running this event for the festival Because how dare they take away a second evening at the festival from me!

True, but in the long run it didn't hurt it as it still sold out in a few hours, which is still nuts considering Disneyland half & Dumbo are still open and Tink half.

Yea I had to enter travel dates first, and then scroll far down the page on a couple pages. Was a little more confusing than it needed to be for sure.

Well, as much complaining as there was over the changes (myself included), looks like they'll have no trouble selling this one out...

Right?! I honestly wasn't sure how this would go.

Maybe the queue option kicks in when there are a TON of people trying to get on the site at the same time?

I was in the On Hold at 11:59 trying to get a friend in. It went through within maybe 20 seconds. But I was still waiting on teh friend, so I baked out and started over, clicking through from rD, a minute or so later - no queue that time, went straight through to Active.

Does anyone else totally miss the drama of the percentage bars?

I got in for the half on my lunch break. I'm so excited! Just booked the French quarter for the first time!

I am traveling with Dh, dd12 and ds who will be almost 2. Since Dh will stay behind to watch the little one for the post race party is acceptable to bring dd12?

I haven't gotten to catch up on all the replies here but DH managed to get me in to the challenge...twice! I guess he had already logged in 1 computer under my account but then his got in first so he entered my info there...I don't know, but somehow I'm in twice and he's not in. He called RD and they made it sound like it shouldn't be an issue to change the name and someone will call him back within a few days (due to the heavy volume right now). But of course, knowing how strict they are about these being nontransferable, I will be worried until we officially hear it's ok. Well, at least I'm running...he can run under my name too.

They fixed a similar issue for me for the 10k when I registered for Marathon Weekend's 10k twice last year in my name

I got myself in for the 10K and my kids for the dashes. Just bummed I couldn't get DH in for the 10K also I was in the queue right away but it crashed just as it was getting close to the end. I saw it go off hold once and when I clicked on it I had to transfer to his account because it was on the browser I had mine on and by the time I switched, it was too late I feel so bad because I had to break it to him at work that I couldn't get him in

Thanks! I was looking too but he doesn't seem to upset over it. I think he was just going to do it because I wanted to. Him not entering also solves the concern of what to do with the kids. His parents are coming on this trip but aren't flying down until Monday I think so we were trying to convince his mom to come early with us to stay with the kids so this may actually be for the best. I have a friend doing the challenge so at least also I won't be alone, which I think was one of his concerns too Everything happens for a reason, right?

I'm just excited I got in and I'm doing this!! My friend originally wanted me to do that half which I was really nervous about so the adding in of the 10k worked in my favor to begin with. Maybe next time will be a half then...
