I think not, only because rD specifically mentions running through WWOS, AK and EP and says nothing about DHS.

And they are changing the Dark Side course quite a bit due to last years issues, based on what the site says - and thank goodness *shudders at the wall of people we slammed into last year. They can be taught....

I had the same pinch points in both races last year, specifically heading out of Epcot. It wasn't until after DHS til I got any type of flow in either race.

Didn't see this mentioned yet but no snail mail to get your Gift Card this year - they will be distributed the week of 10/24 through email with a barcode to redeem...email just came in - see below...

"Your race registration included access to a special post-race party and a Disney Gift Card.

I really HATED the part through the AK parking lot. HATED. Is it too much to hope that we won't be stuck doing that??

Just curious, was the main choke point along the service road and walking path between the Boardwalk and DHS? I was in a front corral for both the 10k and half, so I didn't experience the problems that others did. However, I did notice that it seemed quite narrow along that road/walkway. Were there any other choke points?

I read this morning on FB that someone called rD and they said waivers this week??????????

I want this to be true so bad! I know waiting until next week isn't that long either, and I just have to be patient but I want to know already!!

IDK - this year's marathon course wasn't certified until, what - a week or two before?

That may be true, but they must have had the course before then. I'd have to search the thread to find out, but I'd imagine the event guide was out sooner than a week before. But maybe not. I don't know.

Its three weeks out. According to my "on this day" facebook thing, waivers were released today for the 2015 race.

I didn't remember the exact day, but I do know it was around this time and it felt like more than 3 weeks before.

I briefly thought of that, but as @PrincessV said, not likely since the site doesn't mention DHS. I wish it was that though, because that course in reverse would have the Broadwalk pathway later in the race (thus the crowds would hopefully be more spread out) and I believe also includes the World Showcase loop. I'd be really happy with a course similar to that.

I just can't wait until we know for sure and the speculation can end!!

I didn't get the email yet. Would be nice if you could combine it on the Gift card website since I have others I'm taking but I doubt it.

Haven't gotten an email. I don't like them totally depending on email for stuff because it could go in the junk folder or whatever. I guess I'll keep checking!

YES! But also: the exit off Epcot Center Dr taking you onto Backstage Lane, entering the park by Fake Mexico, and for the 10K pretty much all of DHS.

So, I looked through the Marathon Weekend thread for 2016, and waivers, corral info and the event guide were posted on December 8, almost a month before race weekend. Can we please see ours RunDisney?

No email about the gift card for me either.

We found out bib numbers last year around this time - I know this thanks to fb and I had a post about how my husband was speedy mc speedy with his bib number assignment.
