twoWDWfools-I assumed Patrick is your husband, correct me if I was wrong.

DH bought me the white Nike + GPS watch for Christmas and I feel bad, but I hate it. I gave it a chance but have bony wrists so it fits awkwardly and annoys the hell out of me. To make things worse, he bought it on eBay so I can't return it. I wore it once and it works fine, but like I said, I have small, bony wrists so it just fits weird on me. Anyone interested in buying it? Comes with a shoe sensor. I'll even trade for a new(ish) Nike Fuelband.

I don't have that kind of watch but I do have a bony wrist. lol Do you wear it above your wrist bone that sticks out? I have to wear any watches above that. I have a big running watch (Garmin 205) but even though it's big and my wrist is small it doesn't bother me at all.

If I put it above my bone, it slides. When I adjusted the band to be more loose, the device banged against the bone while I ran. I feel so bad.

Oh ok, gotcha. Yeah that isn't good. :( My Garmin tightens enough above my bone that it doesn't budge. Do they sell different straps maybe?? Or if not, maybe just sell it on ebay yourself...I'm sure your dh will understand. Blame it on your darn bony wrists. ;)

Tomorrow is going to be SLOW at work so I'll just list it while I'm there. Might as well have something to do. Maybe I'll wear my running clothes under my work clothes and escape for a while, LOL.

I had the same problem with my Garmin. What I do now is wrap a Bondi Band (its a lycra headband) around my wrist like a bracelet before I put on the Garmin. It helps keep the Garmin in place and if it slides into my bone the band protects it.

Or if you can't get your hands on a bondi band, try a bandana. I have many running buddies that do this and it makes watches wearable for them. GL!

Go to www.mydisneyreservation.com

I downloaded Chrome and was able to check in online using that Internet program. Mozilla and IE can't get through the bugs sometimes. If that doesn't work for you, clear your internet cache and try again. HTH

Thanks....that link worked, although it didn't like my credit card!

Did my 10 today on the TM and decided to call it a day. Short, but fine (the story of most of my training)

I was going to do online check it but it requires a credit card be put in and since we don't ever add credit cards it won't let me. I also refuse to do so because we are on points and won't have a bill.

Oh well. Guess we will check in the old fashioned way ;)

Also had a fantastic 6 miler today. Decided to do a 90:30 interval to try it out as I had been using mostly a 4:1 or 3:1 and I was a MINUTE per mile faster than I was on the longer intervals. I think I'll stick with the shorter for the time being.

After I got home (did the indoor track because it was 28 and windy out) I calculated how many miles I have logged in training to date since the training schedule started the week of July 4. It's 349.4! All those miles just to go 39.3 :)

I didn't like that they made me put in a credit card either, but I also want to be able to do express checkout. I was hoping when I checked in I could ask them to not put it on my key to the world for charging.

Totally read that wrong and thought you were suggesting trying a banana...:rotfl2:

A bandana makes a lot more sense!

I've packed all my running gear for a variety of weather options in my carryon and now working on my non running wardrobe! It's going to be nice to be in the 70's coz it's down right chilly here in Chicagolandia!!

I am so super excited!! I just want to get to that start line!!

Had that problem with my first running watch - the old Garmin 102. My wrists are really thin too.

I found if I put on a wrist sweatband and then strapped the watch on top of it, I was okay. Actually wore the watch that way for almost 2 years before I upgraded Garmins.

Could be worth a shot to try it.

Ouch! Glad to hear you're okay, but I would be mad if my Garmin was screwed up(610 as well). Have you checked with their support? They do carry a 1 year warranty, and while initial thoughts are that it might not be covered, one of my friends has only great things to say about them. As far as fixing yourself, it's a fairly sealed unit so I haven't torn one apart yet. Searched on the do it yourself repair sites and nothing turned up either.

I probably better check with Garmin support soon to see what they say. I'm about 15 months into my Garmin ownership, so I'd be outside of the 1 year warranty even if falling and crunching the face was covered. Hopefully they can let me know what to do or how vulnerable it is if I don't do anything right away. Now that you mention it, it's really well sealed against sweat and moisture, so I would imagine it's going to be very vulnerable to that now. :worried:

I have had them replace units well past the warranty period in the past.

I'll be crossing my fingers! Even a discounted repair would be helpful, though with the race so close, getting something done fast enough is going to be interesting... :)

Reading lots of TM runs as the cold has hit most of the nation. I wanted to get my last LR in so I did it on the TM this afternoon. I was hoping it would be quiet, but there were lots of people, but there was always an open TM. I have never done 14 miles on a TM and after the first hour time just flew..don't know why. Now to taper!
