**OFFICIAL THREAD**Survivor: Panama

Did they change something this season? In seasons past they've always voted while still on the island. Only waiting to read the votes back in the states on live tv. I can't imagine them changing it. It really wouldn't be fair to have all the private interview spots if the jurors could see it before voting.

I doubt they have changed it.

In the past people who were stabbed in the back still voted for the one who stabbed them because they recognize the strategy.

Just to contribute my two cents....here is how I see this playing out....

We know that Terry is safe next week and will make the final 3. So, since Danielle and Cerie have such a tight alliance, Dani will get Terry on her side as well and vote off Aras. If Aras should win immunity, then Cerie will get the boot.

Final 3 will be Cerie, Dani and Terry. Terry wins and elects to take Dani to the final two, based on the alliance they will make next week.

Then the jury will elect Dani the winner...some because she was in Casaya and others because they don't want to see Terry win (since he has won everything else).

So I go on record with predicting a Danielle victory.

Anyone else amazed at how Cerie went from being the one I was sure was going to get "picked off next" to the one controlling the votes?

I love how she knows when to keep her mouth shut and how smart she's playing to get HER competition eliminated, meaning the ones that can easily be beaten in the final two so that she's the one picked for the final two.

I still like Terry, just wish he was a little more humble.
Playing like Richard Hatch in the first one.

COOL!!! Did you see his new Tahoe in the parking lot LOL!
I don't think he gets it until the end of the show just incase he was to open his month about the outcome of the show.

Beth, you are correct, they vote before they leave the island and the live event is just to read the winner. Hence the big woopie do surrounding bringing Jeff and the sealed voting jar from the island to New York or LA via the helecopter.

So, I would think right now as they're all watching the show with us, the only thing they know is who went to the final 2 and who they voted for to win.

Terry may not have said it well when he explained his decision to Aras, but 1) he didn't have to any give Aras ANY explanation; 2) Aras has been so outwardly negative to Terry, how could he possibly expect to be included in the reward? and 3) sorry, he's right, a spouse or child trumps the mother card (except in the case of something like Jenna a few seasons back when her mother was dying).
.

I don't think it's anyone's place to say who "Trumps" who in their family. It's each person's own business. I hope my son thinks just liek Aras <G>.
No, he didn't have to give any explaination and Aras didn't ask for it, so maybe he shouldn't have said anything.

Yes! Now, that's strategy. It's not just about physical endurance.

I like Terry. I can't believe how Aras was being such a baby- what has he ever done for Terry? You know if Terry didn't win every challenge he'd be gone by now. I don't blame him for being kind of cocky - he derves to be.

I don't see how he can trust Danielle after she burned him so many times.
I too like Cerie - she's playing a great game.

I'd like to see Terry and the girls in the final three.

Actually, we don't know that Aras didn't ask why he made the decisions he did. We only actually see a small part of the footage they film. The producers pick what we do see. A lot goes on that never gets aired. Terry has played as hard as he can, against the odds. He is an alliance of one, because no one else would make an alliance with him. It was stupid on their part because the man has integrity, in a game in which very few ever do. I personally do not like Aras, he's bratty, whiny and insignificant in this game. He talks about his strength, but it's never gotten him far. Terry has a right to boast. He is still in this game even though he's been wearing a bullseye on his chest since the merge. I hope he wins it all and makes Survivor history! I personally think Cerie needs to be in second place. She deserves it for working her tribemates the way she has. They are the two best players in this game. Each using their different strengths to get ahead.

I don't think Terry trusts Danielle, but I think he wants to against her in the final two. So what is the best way to do that - pretend to trust her or tell her they have an "alliance"? I think Terry is playing it very smart. Remember - Shane lost his "final two" partner by being vocal about it!

Terry's logic didn't make sense. By his deduction, Cerie should have been given the opportunity to spend the night with her husband since she was the only other married person and Shane should have received the right for Boston to spend the night at camp with his father. He should have just kept his mouth closed.

Terry also wanted to bring Courtney to the final 2 and was vocal about it. That is what lead Cerie to changing the plan because both Terry and Shane wanted to sit next to Courtney in the end.

I think Terry is awesome..he has every right to be cocky-he wins every week.

I totally agree with his reasoning about the reward..I don't think it mattered whether Cirie and her husband were together at the camp or at the house, as long as they were together, he probably brought Shane because Shane has been so gaga over his son this whole time.
Aras... "My Mom is just as important to me as your wife"..I wouldn't want to be married to him. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I adored my Mom and was absolutely devasted when she died, still am 2 years later, but it's more important for a husband to have time connecting with his wife than it is for a guy and his Mom.

Think about it..how many grown kids do you know who see their Mom every single day..or who NEEDS to see their parents every day?
Not many..but spouses are together day in and day out, so of course they are the ones that you would need to see after being apart for 3 weeks.

Terry's right, Aras is a cry baby, and I don't think Terry did anything wrong by explaining himself..and I think if Aras was as mature as he thinks he is, he would ahve gotten it.

Oh! He does need to win immunity next week - then HIS vote can determine the final 3 - he can vote for Aras, then give the idol to whomever the others vote off, making his vote the deciding one. Hmmm... just thought of that!

I told dh that last night, but dh doesn't think it matters who Terry goes up against, (of course, he has always thought of the show as more of an outplay game. )

Plus, maybe it will help him earn more respect from those on the fence if he keeps proving how strong he is.

Couldn't that also lead to a tie? It's going to be good however it works out!

Shane is on Survivor Live and he is pretty funny.

Looks like Terry has a good chance of getting his vote at the final 2. He had nothing but great things to say about him.

BUT, he's not married, so TO HIM his Mom is JUST as important to him as Terry's wife is to him. That is my point.
My husband did see his mom almost every day before he married me, he still talks to her almost every day now. That is part of why I married him. Most men when they are good to their Moms make great husbands.
I just don't think it's anyones place to say who is more important to whom in their lives.

Of course Terry was going to take his wife when he won the reward challenge :teeth:
And when they explained how it was going to work, I immediately thought that Cirie and Shane were the obvious choices to spend time with their loved ones too.

Granted, Terry may not have explained it very well - but I absolutely understand where he was coming from.

I was a bit surprised at how upset Aras got over the whole thing. Sure it had to be disappointing for him, but what did he expect?

If anyone other than Terry had won you know T would have been sitting on exile island yet again. It woild have been another we're Casya - you're not decision. Fair or not.

I think Terry went with what he felt was as fair a way to decide as any in a really tough situation.

I think Terry picked Shane to go with him for reward because he knew that Shane had been left out of the last decision at tribal counsel. It was a way for Terry to get on his good side. Great strategy if you ask me. Now Shane will probably vote for him.

I also think the others are stupid for not including Terry in their elimination discussions, because then, Terry is not betraying anyone and they are. So any of them up against Terry will fail in the final vote. So Terry is playing the game great and the best, but they are helping him to win by isolating him so much. Just a thought.

I really like Cerie and thought last week she was ingenious. But this week, I think she might have taken it a little too far. She got away with her lie to Shane last week, but now he knows she has been lying and they are all going to know she decieved to get her farther. I would like to see her in 2nd place though because she came the farthest on her own wit (next to Terry, of course.)

Hmm, interesting. I think that if Terry makes it to the final two, he already has atleast 3 votes in Austin, Sally, and Bruce. Then he'd only need one more, which Courtney could give him, or even possibly Shane. And wouldn't Terry be deserving then to win Survivor seeing as he won all of the challenges? I just hate it when there's winners who don't do anything the whole entire game.
