Official thread for The Bachelor

I don't think anyone was flaming you, and not sure what you mean by your last comment. But maybe Sarah is a bit more reserved and doesn't want to show alot of skin on national TV. That sweater may have been the first thing to go once the doors were closed.

I don't think the sweater was body armor....maybe's it her favorite sweater, maybe she has had many compliments on it and feels great in it, maybe it's her lucky sweater...who knows...but to say that she should have dressed more sleazy to get the guy, well, I guess that says it all in a nutshell.

Maybe she was cold...
I wear turtle neck sweaters all the time :)

OR maybe she was HIDING something from the cameras, the principal, the parents and her kindgergarten students underneath that cow sweater!! :teeth: :rolleyes1 won't say what though....hmmmm!!!! :rotfl: JK!!!

I guess it must just be me, but I find Sarah SO incredibly boring and uninteresting. And, it really has bothered me all along that she never says anything personal about Travis like "I really love his sense of humor, or I'm so attracted to how bright he is, or ....." She just keeps insisting that "he's perfect for her" because he's from Nashville. I really think she is more into the fact that he fits into her "ideal" and how he will fit into her life than about any real feelings she has for him. I still don't see any real connection there. If there is one, then they really have done some major editing and I don't like it. At least with Moana, I do feel as though there are some real feelings between them.

What WAS she thinking???

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
That's exactly what I meant. What in the world was she thinking!?!?

MOANa is a manipulative nut job.

I think Sarah is a genuine person...... and I would definitely look for a strong relationship between her and Travis because of the fact that they were friends first.

But then I am married to my best friend..... so my perspective is influenced by that! :rolleyes1 :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Ohhhh jeez!!!!

I stand by my comments.
Goodness gracious, I never said that she had to present herself as some kind of hussy.

I based my comments on how I have seen Sarah throughout the show.
And, yes, I did notice that sweater???? Definite body armor.
I distinctly remember the exact same comments from posters here on the DIS when Meredith wore a similar sweater when she was with that other guy... not Ian. (Nobody got flamed for that)

Many people here, and even I think Travis himself, have noticed this about Sarah. Sure, he says that she is like a friend. But he is still questioning if there is any real 'connection' or 'spark'. He is still trying to get thru that 'wall'.

To be honest here, I think that I know the real reason why my comments are being flamed here. And, it has nothing to do with the show.
I was going to agree with lilligator regarding the fact that I believe the sweater shows that she's more of a lady but I don't want to be accused of flaming you because that is certainly not my intention. I don't understand why you interpret it as that, it's just a difference of opinion. I must be missing something, especially if you believe you are being flamed for some other reason. This is probably another one of those "insider" things that I'm always clueless about.

I'm curious about something. I'm not asking this to be hardheaded, or to try to sway anyone, but...

Those that have replied by saying that Moana is crazy, or a nut job, I'm just wondering what you're basing it on? What has she done that has been so crazy?

Getting emotional? I think we've all done that. Being involved with not-so-nice relatives? Unfortunately I was married into a whole family of them at one time. Removing yourself from a room of vindictive women? I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Enlighten me. Maybe I'm forgeting something that happened to cause this reaction.

Really! I'm curious! :)

I orignally hated my husband. He first asked me out in 7th grade and I called him an a**h***. He continued to ask me out all the time. Finally in 10th grade, a good friend of mine liked him and I told her that he asked me out again and he didn't seem to be giving up. She told me told me to give him a chance and he was really a nice guy. Well, peer pressure gave in and here we are almost 16 years later. I grew to love the one I hated!

For those of you who knew the spoiler, could it still be true?

I've only seen the show twice now, but I still maintain that sharing a kiss with someone where you are both grinning like idiots is a lot more "chemistry" than a soap opera kiss that you could probably share with just about anyone you were attracted to.

I will answer this -

in the beginning she was very stand offish and told the girls she was just not comfortable dating someone who is dating a bunch of other girls

hello - did she not know the premise of the bachelor? That really annoyed me about her - it just seemed like such a stupid comment to me and ever since then I have not liked her

I also can't believe that out the other women not a single one of them liked her - I know that there may not have been a lot of reasons that we saw but I still can't believe that not one other girl liked her

I guess I am just a big believer of where there's smoke - there's fire!

I see what you're saying; I see the basis behind it and I think you're basing your decision off of the opinion that you've formed because of it.

In your opinion, do you think she's crazy, or unstable because of it? Or just a dips**t?

To me, this is the worse thing we've seen of her!

As for the other girls and what they collectively think - I would need to hear specifics before I passed judgement. It could be nothing more than pure jealously, based off of Travis' reaction to her.

Next week should be telling.

I didn't see the first show or two. But I like Moana and thought they had good chemistry on her trip with him to her home (even with her parents) and especially on the trip to Venice.

I don't know that I think she is crazy but I agree with sarah's statement that she is not settled

i do find it somewhat disturbing that she did a pretty quick turnaround from I just have a problem with all of this to where she told travis he helped her feel whole -

although I thought Susan was a drama queen and in it for acting - I do think that her statement that if one glass is half empty and the other glass has to keep pouring into the glass - neither glass ends up whole - and that is what I see in Moana - he will constantly have to be filling her up and eventually it will wear him down -

I think she made a pretty big leap from I am not into this whole thing to travis you complete me - she has a lot of baggage and I really don't see her being a fit in his life -

I will be SHOCKED if his family likes her too - I think they will fall head over heals in love with Sarah

I think he will pick Moana. He really seems fascinated with her. While he thinks Sarah is nice and more genuine than Susan, I really don't see anything between them.

Personally, I think Moana is really beautiful in a different sort of way. The other girls didn't like her because she played the game better than they did. They sat by passively waiting for their turn with Travis. She took the bull by the horns and went after him. It is a game.

I'll be really shocked if he picks Sarah. I know we all like Sarah. She seems to be a normal, sweet girl. Of course, we don't really know what criteria Travis is using.

Travis is a Doctor. He likes to fix people..Maybe he sees an injured spirit in Moana and feels he can *fix* her

I think what bugs me about Moana is how needy she is. Her video message to him where whe was weeping through the whole thing was very strange. She just seems to be too dependent on him already. She obviously has issues in her life that Travis isn't going to be able to fix.

I also agree that where there is smoke there is fire. An entire house full of girls dislike her? There must be a reason for that.

As the sister of a very needy person, I agree. It's exhausting to keep up with a needy person's needs.

BTW, didn't anyone else think Ryan (Trista's) seemed kind of out of it? They'd show clips from their Bachelorette experience, and he was lively and fun, and then they'd show the two of them being interviewed, and he looked numb or something. And I wanted to take that hat off of him too.

I was also suprised to hear Trista say its hard to have a baby....

anyway, Moana, she said at the beginning of the show, she could not be with a guy who was dating all these other women and that she wasn't even sure if this was for her. Now she turns around and tells Travis, oh I understand. So she's a liar. Or she just changed her mind to stay in the show.
It's one thing to be emotional, sure, most women can be, but to be weeping, sobbing in a video messgae on national tv....and we don't know what all has transpired behind the scenes....not ONE girl in the house likes her. That speaks volumes to me.

I really think he's going to pick Moana. When she crawled in bed with him one morning he said he wished she could stay with him, and in Venice he said he felt like he was going to see his girlfriend. He also seemed to want to reassure her about the multiple dating situation.

I see no chemistry at all with Sarah, although she seems like a harmless person.

I don't think he'll marry either one.

I don't recall the whole house talking about her, just a few girls. Mainly drunk girl and I would trust her judgement about as far as I could throw her.

In high school didn't any of you have a "friend" who talked badly about people and tried to sway everyone around them to believe what they believed? I did! And the bad thing was, most people fell for it.

We've seen them sitting around a table talking about her, and not too discreetly either. To me, that reeks of bad class. It doesn't make them any better than the one that they're saying is so horrible.

And when Moana walked in, (I can't remember her name) accuses her of acting like she doesn't care and then hogging time with him. She won that time fair and square twice, and the other time she seized an opportunity to be with him.

I think Moana likes to keep to herself and they see that as being a snob.

JMO - YMMV
