Official thread for The Bachelor

It's awful.... but I can't turn away. My heart actually breaks for the girl sent home. It has to be tough.

Its hard when she said " the good girls always end up with the good guys"

I don't know. Moana even seemed fakey on the ride home.... I think it's more like maybe this was the first time she really felt something for someone.... she needs to mature a bit more.

My local news channel just played a blurb for the 11 o'clock news and they are going to talk to a "close friend" of the woman the Bachelor chooses!!! I am in Knoxville, which is about 3 hours from Nashville. Don't guess I'll be going to bed at 11!! They say he is an ER physician at Vanderbilt. I have an x-ray tech friend that works there that used to work at the hospital where I work. Wonder if she knows him????

For someone who couldn't say why she liked him can't stop talking about him now. I knew he couldn't pick her - esp after the family visit.

Yay Sarah!!! Congrats Travis and Sarah !!!!!

I think he picked the wrong girl..I like Sarah better,it's not about who I like.I think He and Moana were better together.

Sarah does fit that perfect girl profile, but I also find her very pushy, and I think Travis will regret his decision in a few weeks, once these two have lived together. But I do find it very crazy that one can fall in love with someone else in a matter of weeks, and during these weeks, you are not the only woman he is seeing. I could never do what these people are doing, I can say that for sure.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was half watching the show (while dising) and I instantly liked Sarah. Travis's nieces instantly liked her also. She seems to be a better fit for him. I hope that they get married.

I think it was meant to be for Travis & Sarah.

For two people to go sooo far & go through soo much to find each other - only to find out they were always so close but they just never knew it....

That's awesome!

I don't doubt that you can fall in love in a few weeks,or even a few days..I knew from day one and it's now year 12. I do find it hard to believe that someone could find a lifelong relationship in a case like this.

I wonder if they are going to have After the Rose special. It wasn't mentioned.

:rotfl: This show cracks me up. They make it out like it's a fairytale ending.......yeh I've heard of lots of fairytales where the guy "tries out" 25 different women at once and has "deep feelings" for more then one but then finally chooses and gives her a ring on a necklace. Maybe I'm getting old but what a load of crap. :rotfl:

I know!!! They always have one the next week, but they usually mention it at the end. Hopefully my TV Guide will come tomorrow.

I too don't understand the premise behind the show actually making them pick out an 'engagement' ring and then not actually giving it as such. I don't think it's necessarily wrong for them not to give it when it may not feel right, but why have the ring be a part of the show at all. They can still choose who is right for them and promise to work on things back home, without all the whoopla of a 2 carat ring.

I'm wondering why Moana had such a hard time talking about Travis without breaking into tears, but when it actually came to the heartbreaking moment with him there were none. I probably would have been in a puddle if I was that madly in love, but who knows. Maybe it was shock.

All in all I'm happy about who he choose, I think they stand the better chance of actually making it.

I'm really suprised. I thought for sure he'd choose Moana because, she ....makes certain body parts of his react in favorable ways and lets face it, many men choose bases on the "little buddies" opinion. I saw no real connection beyone that.

I held out hope for Sarah. From the very first rose ceremony I knew she'd be one of the last 2. I'd love to hear in a few months that they are engaged and planning their weddng but this is bachelor and it rarely works out.

So who's your pick for the next Bachelorette? Sarah would have been an excellent choice but it's too late now. Moana? Nah, too unstable. Not even wild about Susan.

I expected more of a response from Moana than what she gave when he rejected her. She also seemed so aloof when she was talking with him, cooking at her place. Maybe it really was a game to her. I don't know. But she totally seemed emotionally unstable and would not be able to handle his life. I think it would get quite old always having to reassure her. I also thought the get together with his parents was a disaster. Again, why if she was so in love with Travis couldn't she say one thing that she really liked about him. Just seemed so weird.

I hope he and Sarah make it.

Wanna see something interesting? One of my girlfriends who lives in Nashville sent me these last week, they were taken about six months before filming started. ABC really gave him an EXTREME MAKEOVER! I wouldn't have looked at him twice had I bumped into him or his friends at the Buffalo Billiards!

I just finished watching and all I can say is that it was over at dinner with his parents

Travis knew before because he said - I am just hoping she would make an okay impression?!?? :confused3

I think they edited out a lot of chemistry between them so that the whole world would not figure it out -

In his field of work he has to have a wife who people do not think is a freak - I think he imagined himself at dinner parties with her and realized that she could not fit into his world - it would be ridiculous to choose a woman who you just could not see with your family, your friends and your life

I have someone in my life who is married to a girl that NO ONE would have picked for him - she is just very different than him and while they are very happy together - they are somewhat isolated from our group of friends b/c of her -
