It now says hotels will be available on July 10. I think I am going to register no matter what but I would like to see which value they will offer. I could do Shades of Green but I am worried about getting to the starting line if I don't stay at an official hotel. If they did POP I would probably just book there.

Cusack1020, there should be a value resort as one of the offical hotels. Last year, they had a value, a moderate, and a deluxe so there was something for every price point. If not POP, maybe AS Sports. They have used that one in the past for race weekends.

If AKL is one of the offical hotels then you will have WDW transport to the start, if not you will have to make you own way there, by car or taxi.
You might find some WISHer's who are staying there that want to car / taxi share.

Background - I've done two 5k's. Not RUN, per se, but done. I'm 30lbs away from my weight goal. I'm a wuss about exercise. But I want the challenge!

There's an idea! I am staying off-site, and was thinking about taking a taxi. But going with other DISers would be so much easier. Hopefully I can find one who wouldn't mind giving me a ride.

I'm really hoping to be able to do this in March. I'm still working my way through the c25k program, but am determined to be ready either way in March. It's really going to come down to if I can do this on a budget or not.

I'm a bit nervous about the rates of the room, since March isn't a discount season and I'm going to have to go budget for this trip. May be looking for a roomie myself.

Wow I was expecting to have to wait to the 10th. Having only stayed at Shades of Green I am unsure of what to do here. I guess I have a while to make up my mind! I might do a split stay and get the best of both worlds.
