I'm going back on March 5-9. Part work and part fun -- and the best part work will pay for most of it. It will be interesting to be going solo..so much to do

Add another March 10th-17th WDWer to the list. We just got a room at Pop (someone canceled and we snatched it up), but I'm hoping against hope something at POFQ or CBR comes up. Had my heart set on FQ, but I couldn't book until this week when I finally found out my work schedule and by then everything was gone.

i just booked march 23-28 at POP. i only decided last week. i went to DLR in september and told myself no more disney trips for at least a year. well, we can see how well that worked out!

what's the weather usually like in march? last time i was there, in december 2005, it was COLD. i'd love to go swimming this time around.

It is nothing like December -- way warmer.

We have always gone the first week of March and were able to swim easily, especially in the afternoon. It is warm to very warm in our experience. Very little rain. Low humidity. Can be cool in the morning and evening so bring a sweater or light jacket. Occasionally can be quite hot.

Only one year, 2005, did we have a pretty cold day with rain. We were at MK that day and were like the only people on Main Street for the afternoon parade.

There's a weather site called Weather underground that has trip planning for various cities around the US. We used it a few years ago for a trip to DC, and have used it to get an idea about orlando area.

The link is http://www.wunderground.com/tripplanner/index.asp just put in Orlando, FL and trip dates. Looks like a great week to go there! Highs usually in upper 70s, lows in 60s (except last year when lows got into the upper 40s!).

Well, I'm at 39 days and about 5 hours from departure. I made reservations almost a year ago. Any tips for making the last 30 days or so not seem to drag on forever? It's just killing me. Our upcoming trip is all I can think about.

I don't look at it that way. The first 10 days of March is our usual WDW trip time and I enjoy the way the planning and anticipation makes me completely ignore the most dreary 2 months of the year, Jan. & Feb. We're finally getting some real Winter here in Pa but the only reality for me is that blast of hot, humid air one get stepping off the plane at MCO and the smell of living plants at WDW.

First post here.
We are headed to WDW Mar. 18-23!
Booked yesterday, We are staying at BWI and were able to get a regular season rate!
This is our first trip back in 3 years and with my son 7 and my daughter turning 6, I am anticipating this being a fantastic trip! Also the in-laws are coming down and joining us fo the first couple of days. They are staying at AKL.
This time, since it will be peak season, I've decided to put some extra effort into planning and have found this forum a huge asset!
Thanks for letting me share! Disney World here we come!

It's official! We're going to Disneyworld!!!!

My dds, 9 and 5, and I are going to the world march 16-22. Our first trip out...Can't wait can't wait can't wait... Going with two of my girl friends for a 'girls week out' We're doing all star music, dining plan...I'm especially looking forward to seeing Mary Poppins, Belle, and seeing my DDs see all the princesses. Too much fun.

Just too durn excited to stay quiet about it! My dd's don't know yet, we have plans to surprise them on our trip to the beach with a little 'pit stop'. Little do they know it's going to be the most exciting pit stop they've ever had!

Can someone please tell me about the lime green mickey heads? From what I have been able to determine, it seems that DISers get the mickey head paint samples from Home Depot and do something with them to identify themselves as DISers to other DISers...... but what do you do with them?????????????
