This Cancel Thread allow DIS'ers to post Theme Park Reservations (TPR) they are planning to cancel. At times, DIS'ers may be able to wait to cancel and offer to coordinate a time to release theis TPRs, other times the TPRs must be cancelled in order to book a new TPR.

When posting a cancel, please indicate if it is cancelled or you are willing to coordinate via conversation, formerly PM. ALL coordination must be handled via Conversation/PM. If you have less than 10 posts you cannot offer to coordinate. Please post that you have cancelled or when you plan to. DO NOT attempt to coordinate with someone on the thread. If they do not have enough posts to have a conversation, they cannot coordinate/request the TPR.

Never post I PMd. The person sent a PM will be notified via automatic email.

We do not know how long it takes for cancelled TPR's to be made available to other guests. Co-ordination of cancelling and attempting to obtain cancelled TPRs is done at own risk.

You must have 10 posts in order to PM. Do not post on the thread that you don't have enough posts to PM.

Trade/Transfer/Wanted posts are not allowed.

Please follow the guidelines. ALL posts that are not cancel notices will be removed immediately, without notice. Failure to follow the guidelines may result in an infraction.

When posting a cancellation, please include:
- Which park a reservation is being cancelled for: Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom
- Date of Theme Park Reservation being cancelled
- Number of guests on reservation
- Which 'bucket' reservation is allocated to: Day Guests, Resort Guests, Annual Passes

Please advise when you are planning to cancel or, if reservations have already been cancelled. Also, once you have released your reservation, please update your initial post to indicate this so that others do not continue to PM you.

If you want to subscribe to this thread, please use the option in Thread Tools. There is no need to post 'following' as these posts will be deleted.

Thank you for your cooperation and happy planning!

I assume, since you can coordinate, that there is no delay in the system from the time a cancellation takes place to when it opens up for rebooking by someone else??

As was indicated in Post 1, we don’t know the answer to this.

We are offering the option to share cancellations here in hopes that some who are looking for a specific day in a park might see someone preparing to cancel the same and then TRY to pick up the cancelled reservation.

Nobody knows for sure how long it takes for cancelled reservations to go back into the inventory but with so many people looking we hope this thread will be helpful. It’s better than nothing.

When I called last week and spoke to a CM they said it immediately goes into the system when someone cancels. Thus they wanted me to keep trying for a particular day and park that I was trying to get.

I think it's too late now, but for the sake of continuity will repost:

As noted at the time, I canceled a MK reservation at about 11:20 a.m. this morning (May 6).

I really hope a Dis-boarder was able to catch it!

I feel you. DH and I just seriously started talking about cancelling our Oct. 8 - 11 trip.

Local... alot went into our decision to cancel... Heat and Humidity, it is absolutely miserable here right now, Plus I'm not going to punish myself or my DH... for thoughtlessness and selfishness of other people who choose not to do the right thing.. As well not all the tables available for dinning, when my window opened there was nothing worth it... So I just thru in the towel...

Some friends were there over the weekend, and said most likely they will not renew their AP's for next year. Which they love love Disney...
