Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

Would I need to get Fastpasses for the star wars shows? I was planning on just going myself when my 2 year old was napping and I really don't want to waste Tier 1 if I don't have to.

Would I need to get Fastpasses for the star wars shows? I was planning on just going myself when my 2 year old was napping and I really don't want to waste Tier 1 if I don't have to.

That's the question...since it being first year they offer it.
In the past you would line up at least an hour before for the following shows: Stars of the Saga, Visit to the Maul and An Ewok's Tale...these shows would fill up completely so I know some people were left out
For Behind the Force you could basically walk in about 15 min. before no problem, the difference being that they had 2 showings of it. This year it's only one
Obi Wan and Beyond was a show you could line 30 min. before and get in, the difference being that there was Hyperspace Hoopla and most people would be waiting for that so this show was easier to get in. This year there's no Hoopla and the fireworks are at 9:45pm

So could you get in the shows without fp+...probably...but you would have to wait at least an hour in a line that's outside (under roof) with a whole bunch of people in a very small space

Hi,
We are going for SWW for the 1st time Fri. May 30th. We are not Star Wars "geeks" (as I have heard them called) but we do like Star Wars--especially my 5 yr old son. So, for those of you in the know, which of the event shows would be best suited for a 5 yr old boy that really likes Star Wars? If I'm going to give up my Toy Story Midway Mania FP+ (their favorite ride) I want it to be for something he will really enjoy. I'm not sure he'd appreciate just sitting and watching an actor or 2 talk, esp. since they're not even in costume. We are primarily going to HS that day to take in the whole Star Wars theme though. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for all the information! We are going the fourth weekend on Friday and Saturday and have a general idea of our schedule. We have the Sci-Fi breakfast on Monday. How does this look?

Friday June 6
Get there at 6:45-7
JTA
Chewbacca
Meet other characters (R2MK, Darth Maul, Luke, Leia, Amidala, Anakin, and Obi-Wan are the ones we really want to meet this trip)
Check in for FTF
Star tours FP 12:05-1:05
TOT FP 1:10-2:10
Eat lunch
Meet characters we didn’t get earlier/shopping
Stars of the Saga FP 4:20
shop/relax
Hollywood and Vine dinner 7:15 (I tried to move this, but there are no openings)
Desert party and fireworks
Fantasmic (if we aren’t too tired)

Saturday will be the day we do anything we didn't get to do and have FP+ for TOT, Star Tours, and TSMM.

Behind the Force Star Wars Voices is great for kids, it shows you about voice over acting, many of the actor/actress that do that show do other cartoons so they might hear some familiar voices. It's fun to watch the process.

Ashley Eckstein is debuting a line of jewelry at SWW this year, take a look:
http://www.heruniverse.com/blog/her...-and-collectible-high-end-r2-d2-jewelry-line/

from this article:
Eckstein will be returning as host of Behind The Force: Star Wars Rebels where she will take fans behind the scenes and experience the newest installment in the Star Wars saga as well as hosting the Padawan Mind Challenge –an interactive Star Wars trivia challenge designed for younglings ages 4 to 11. Eckstein will also be signing autographs and Her Universe Merchandise in Darth’s Mall every Friday thru Sunday during the event from 5:00-6:00PM.
Now we know she will also be hosting the Padawan Mind Challenge and signing autographs from 5pm to 6pm (these are only for people that buy Her Universe merchandise at Darth's Mall no fp will be handed out for this meet)

Will she have a booth set up somewhere? The Ewok tank top is too cute!!

She has a booth inside Darth's Mall...OMG tooooo cute, did you see the Han Solo dress?? and my daughter already is saving for the Ewok's shirt.

I really like the EWOK shirt as well, that one just might end up being a shirt I wear if I am a handler while trooping if I am not wearing my Mara Jade :)

Speaking of my Mara Jade, what did you folks think...

Awesome pics!! Love it, and wish you could wear it for all of us to see at SWW

Thanks yulilin! I sent the link to DD; any of those items would be great for MNSSHP too!

Trying to decide if I need one day or 2? We are thinking of going Thursday and Friday or just Friday. We know sww is not Thursday. We went last spring and decided to go back. We have 4 kiddos. We have never been to epcot so if we did not go 2 days at HS we would do 1 day epcot 1 day HS
