Lightning & Mater do not interact. They are just replicas that people can take photos with. At least, that was our experience in Nov '12 & '13.

They do make a vroom vroom sound every once in a while

I see everyone talking about Chewbacca, and last year he was with Ewoks on the weekend we were there. I haven't seen anyone mention this. Does he usually have Ewoks with him or was that unusual? DD really wants a pic with an Ewok (and she would take one home if she could

Yes, Chewbacca does come out with an Ewok but it's not in every set. Look at Kenny the Pirate's page (link on the first post of this thread) for last years schedule

Hi! I have a random question. Do the non-Star Wars characters (like Lightning and Mater) still come out during SWW? If so, do they interact?

Anyone know this answer based on previous years?

When I did SWW a few years back ('06) all the regular characters were out doing meet & greets. That year I got my picture with Daisy, Friar Tuck & Robin Hood as well as Clariece (who was with Chip & Dale). There were others out as well, but they were characters I already had my picture with.

Star Wars Characters I got the last year I went were: Darth Vader, Emperor w/his guards, Luke Skywalker, Aurra Sing, Queen Amadala, Commander Cody, Mace Windu, Shaak Ti, an Ewok who's name I don't know and Jedi Mickey. The line for Chewbaca was to long for me at the time.

Getting ready to go to DHS in about 2 hours, there's a high chance for rain and thunderstorms but nothing would keep me away from my favorite park tonight. Can't wait for the fireworks

It looks like the Rancor will be coming out week 3. They're doing a staggered release like last year. I'm hoping that maybe they'll let us buy it at the Rebel Rendezvous but not holding my breath on that.

This is the first year I've been willing to brave SWW at the Studios, but mainly for the Jedi Mickey dinner to see the characters without the lines. We won't be spending the entire day in the park, just dinner and shopping (maybe fireworks). Is Darth Mall open until park close or does it close early? Trying to decide whether to shop then eat, or eat then shop.

Check Destination Vinylmation or Vinylmation World.

Week 1 gets you Series 4 blind boxes and the R2-MK/R2-D2 Eachez blind box (these will probably sell out quickly). Week 2 is Luke and Yoda Dagobah combo. Week 3 is the Rancor. Week 4 is Hologram Emperor. Week 5 is still a surprise. Hope this helps.

Yes it closes at the same time as the park

The FP+ situation with the shows is stressing me out. Just not knowing if it will be considered a Tier 1 attraction, when the FP+ bookings will open up, what I will have to move around, etc.

I definitely want that 4:45 Stars of the Saga on Sunday, 6/8 (although, I'll have to push back a dining reservation to a later time at the Dolphin for that evening). I'll try for Visit to the Maul on Saturday, 6/7. If I don't wind up using FP+ for Visit to the Maul (6:15 show), how early do you think I'll need to get there for that one? Would 40 minutes be enough?

eh, if it's a tier 1 attraction for SWW shows I'll just pick the one that will fill up fastest.

What does concern me is that I'll be on a cruise the week before the first weekend, but that weekend really isn't the most important one (weekend IV is), although having FP would be nice. But if they open FP for weekend IV during that week? I'm not getting FP then.

According to Kenny the Pirate's site, Robin Hood and Friar Tuck are now listed as Uncommon Characters (he has a separate list for Rare characters, but they're basically the same). When I met them it was in 2006.
