Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

I just booked the Feel the Force Party for May 18th. I can't wait to hear about the first one on the 16th to see if it was worth it or not. PLEASE someone that is going on the 16th report back about it with pictures if possible. :thumbsup2

Do they work the FP's for autographs around dining reservations or do you just get a time no matter what?

You get that time no matter what. You could change with someone that has a fastpass for the same celebrity

Thanks. What's funny is that the link says Symphony in the Stars starts at 9:45, but the Feel the Force description says 9:30.

How long does Fantasmic last?

there's a pre show before the fw that starts at 9:30pm...F! lasts 30 min.

9:30 may be the latest time they want you to check in for the event if there are 9:45 fireworks.

I'm going on the 16. I'll try to do a short, quick recap on here that day.

As much as I'd like to reserve Feel the Force, I can't do it. I'm about to buy Paul McCartney tickets AND we're taking a short beach trip at the end of the summer, and I just can't justify it. :(

On the bright side, I'm so happy to see the celebrity line-up announced. My weekend (Weekend IV) is going to be sooooooo crowded. I'm excited to see Visit to the Maul (assuming Ray Park does this) because he's never there our weekend. Would really love to see the Mark Hamill show, too (I'm assuming he will just be doing Stars of the Saga?).

There will be no autograph sessions for us this year which is a relief. If Warwick Davis was there during either of our weekends, we would, but we really don't need to this time around.

Now, I will patiently wait for shows and show times to be announced which I'm not expecting until the week of the first weekend. It would make my day if we find out you can reserve FP+ for the shows.

I had booked dd and dh for the Ultimate VIP package, but I may cancel it now that this Feel the Force package has been released.

We already have fast passes for the rides that the Ultimate VIP will walk you on. Feel the Force has the desert party and parade viewing, so all I'm seeing that they will lose by canceling is the VIP seating for the shows and lunch. Seems like you're not loosing much for a $450 pp price difference. Am I missing something?

I went ahead and booked the Feel the Force so unless they come up with something spectacular that hasn't been announced yet for the Ultimate VIP, I think we just saved ourselves $900.

The only thing that would cause me hesitation about canceling the VIP is if your going the mark hamill weekend. If you are, I bet the VIP seating for shows would be sweet.

DH is gonna freak! He absolutely loves Boba Fett and told me from day one if we can, we WILL meet Jeremy bulloch. We also happen to be there for that weekend!! I cannot wait until he's done school and finds out :-)

Yep. We're there Mark Hammill weekend. Just not sure $900 is worth it. I guess I will let DH and DD decide. We will be there both Sat and Sun so we will have two chances to see the show. I wasn't planning on doing the VIP - I had planned on doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour that day. I like SW, but I don't LOVE it like they do. So I guess if we cancel VIP, I will cancel KTK and we end up with $1000 savings because of Feel the Force.

I've booked the firework/parade package for the 8th - thanks as always for the heads up on this
Yep, pricey but I feel I can just relax and enjoy now :)

Look at the first post of this thread it has information and links to all the package offered

I would like to see Warwick Davis do his presentation. How does that work? does he do the show a few times a day? Do you have to line up early? What venue do they use for these?

Thanks all!

My trip is a quick one and there will be 2 moms, 3 boys (age 10, 7 and 6) We have the Feel the Force package and H&V dinner booked, as well as our fastpasses. I imagine the only other character the kids will want to meet is Chewie and possibly Darth Vader. The day prior is our arrival day, so it will be a long one. I am hoping with our reservations that we will be able to come around 10 and not need to be there at rope drop. We will not be interested in the celebrity meetings. What do you think? Non of the boys are huge Star Wars fans....just a coincidence that we are coming this weekend, so we don't want to miss it. Thanks!

Read the first post in this thread...the times for the shows this year have not been released

You just named to top 2 characters during SWW :)
The lines for both Vader and Chewie are long and hot. Many people arrive before rope drop and go straight to Chewie's line. If you arrive around 10am you could start making the line for Chewie and hopefully many people will go to the parade, so you can catch him after the parade.
Last year Darth Vader met even during the parade but still his line is up to one hour and a half on most days.

Starkiller is one of my favorite characters to see in the parade, but will he be out this year? Since they are focusing on the movies and not so much on the extended universe?

Looks like they may have lifted the ban on EU marching, though the number per day cap will still be in place. I have not seen any Starkiller costumes submitted though.
