Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

How bad will Warwick's line be? How does this work again? Get in line before the park opens?

I'm another one that's never watched Star Wars *hiding* but DS loves it. However, I AM a fan of Harry Potter & Leprechaun is just CLASSIC! I'd love to meet this guy! Do they do autographs too?

The autograph process is explained on the first post of this thread...and he will sign anything not just SW, I had my HP DVD's signed by him a couple of years ago. Ill update my priority post to include time of arrival to DHS to have a chance of getting a fp

Thanks for posting all the great tips and events. Its getting expensive for our family of 6 but everyone is going to be so excited. My children have no idea we booked the breakfast on the first day of our trip on 5/30, the dinner with Fantasmic on 6/1, and now the Feel the force for 6/8. Its so nice knowing we have these items scheduled and are gaurenteed to see a number of characters, parades, etc.

Now I just have to countdown the days:hourglass

Just booked the Feel the Force for 5/31. This is what was in the fine print regarding the location for viewing:

Viewing Area is located near Echo Lake, on the left side of the open plaza as you face the Sorcerer’s hat. Both experiences are standing only.

If inclement weather, guests should proceed to original check-in location and will be directed to an alternate location for the dessert party. Motorcade and fireworks viewing will still take place from location based on show ability to perform.

Obviously there's no way of telling for sure but this is my best guess

Weekend I: May 16-18

Ahmed Best: Jar Jar Binks (Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones; Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith; Star Wars: The Clone Wars) ....before 5am

Peter Mayhew: Chewbacca (Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith; Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope; Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi; Star Wars: The Clone Wars).... before 6am

Vanessa Marshall: Hera Syndulla (Star Wars Rebels) ....before 6:30am

Ahmed Best will be the priority here, even though people don't love Jar Jar it's his first time coming. Followed by Peter Mayhew and Vanessa Marshall

Weekend II: May 23-25

Warwick Davis: Wicket W. Warrick (Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi); Wald (Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace) ....before 5am

Jeremy Bulloch: Boba Fett (Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi); Capt. Jeremoch Colton (Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith) ....before 6:30am

Tiya Sircar: Sabine Wren (Star Wars Rebels) ...before 6am

I'm giving popularity to Warwick Davis, followed closely by Tiya Sircar (Vampire Diaries) and last Jeremy Bulloch

Weekend III: May 30-June 1

Ray Park: Darth Maul (Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace) ...before 4am

John Ratzenberger: Major Bren Derlin (Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back)....all nighter, there's no way of knowing

Taylor Gray: Ezra Bridger (Star Wars Rebels) ...before 6:30am

All hell breaks loose...John Ratzenberger HUGE!!!!!!! it'll give a break for people wanting to meet Ray Park, lastly Taylor Gray (He's in the new movie Walt before Mickey) it'll be interesting to meet him

Weekend IV: June 6-8

Mark Hamill: Luke Skywalker (Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope; Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi); Darth Bane (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) (not signing)

weekend 5 all voice actors...hard to pick but have to go with Matt Lanter (90210), followed by everyone else

Ok guys.. Im there Friday 16th
Question 1) Who I stand in line to meet - Ahmed or Peter (as im from UK, ive met Peter many many times - so im gearing towards Ahmed)
Question 2) What time do you think I should arrive at DHS to get in line for autograph?
Question 3) Im staying at Saratoga Springs, so what will the best route be from there to DHS?
Question 4) Non-related SWW question - im also an Arsenal FC fan, and they are playing in FA Cup Final (big thing for us football/soccer fans) - on Sat 17th (so gutted that im going to have to miss 1 SWW day), therefore is there anywhere on WDW resort that i'll be able to watch the game - as I doubt DHS will have this showing?

Sorry for all the questions
:cool1:

So excited that Peter Mayhew will be there my weekend! Disappointed that Ray Park won't be there, but I did get to see him last year.

Man, weekend IV....wow, just wow! I so want to be there that weekend to see Mark Hamill and now Billy Dee Williams AND Ray Park!!:faint:

This Star Wars stuff is costing me more and more money everyday!

They've altered the deal, pray they don't alter it further.

Could anyone tell me what this costume is?

I saw it in the video someone posted earlier. I'm not the star wars fan at all, my husband is. But he wants to dress up for SWW and he doesn't want to be a Stormtrooper since he can't wear the helmet with it. So if it's a character he might be interested in it looks relatively easy to make.

It's Starkiller - from Force Unleashed.

As far as the extra cash for a sweet spot to watch the parade, I just don't think I want to spend it. I mean, I can't get much better viewing of the parade than being IN it. :cool2:

The guest list is awesome. I have no idea how or if I will be able to get a FP for an autograph during my weekends. Ugh. Oh well, just get me in the shows.

1) Personal decision but I would say meet the one you haven't met before
2) see the post above yours
3) taxi to be able to make it early enough
4) You could try ESPN that's a restaurant on the Boardwalk (walking distance from DHS) I would call before hand

Starkiller is one of my favorite characters to see in the parade, but will he be out this year? Since they are focusing on the movies and not so much on the extended universe?

There are no TVs offering sports viewing inside any of the parks.

Your only option is going to be ESPN or a resort lounge - and I don't know how many of the lounges will be able to get soccer. I've seen them showing soccer on the TVs sometimes. You would probably be able to see that at ESPN Club for sure and the Boardwalk is actually in walking distance from DHS.

I'd meet Ahmed if you've met Peter before. It's the first time Ahmed's been to SWW. And it should be some fun at the interview shows when he is asked about playing the most universally hated Star Wars character.

Thanks Yulilil3

In addition - is James Arnold Taylor available for autograph also.
And to guarantee an autograph, I were to turn up around 5am - and view the lines for the autograph, i could assess the shortest line and wait in that line?

James has signed autographs in the past, he only does one session. If you read the first post on this thread it explains the autograph process

Gary Buchanan from the Disney Parks Blog just confirmed that Warwick Davis will once again do his show An Ewoks Tale-My Short Story when he's here. Details of this show on the first post of this thread

Maybe ESPN club on the Boardwalk there's like hundreds of TVs in there. I don't know if Rose & Crown show sports but if they did I'm sure FA cup would be playing.

Just booked Feel the Force, but I'm not certain I will keep it. We have never watched the parade or the fireworks, and I'm not 100% that will change this trip. I am going to wait and see what people on the first weekend say about the experience and then decide - if the parade viewing is in full sun, that might make it easier for us to choose! Usually we go on rides during the parade, because although DS is a Star Wars fan, he doesn't know the movies well and doesn't know who all the characters are, so it's a time for us to get more done. So we'll see!

Do you know the refund policy?????

I'm still under the suspicion with the huge celebrity line-up from the fourth weekend and the anniversary of the original that there may be some kind of awesome announcement or release tied to either the new movie or an expanded Star Wars role in the parks.

Wishful thinking, I know. But it would be sooooooo appropriate! :goodvibes

I don't know if Rose & Crown show sports but if they did I'm sure FA cup would be playing.

There are no TVs available for sports viewing inside any theme park. Rose & Crown doesn't have a TV. The only park lounge I can think of that has TVs is Tune Inn Lounge, and all they show are old television clips. No sports.

ESPN should have it - especially if there are not a lot of competing sports events.

Do you know the refund policy?????

Website booking noted a cancellation deadline of one day prior.

I'm so excited about Ray Park and John Ratzenberger!!! We always point out which character he plays in all the Pixar movies. :) Quick question: I have the Fantasmic show scheduled for 9pm on my MDE app, but if I do a new search for it, it says show times are 8:30 and 10pm for May 30. I'm hoping that's correct because I want to go to the early Fantasmic but I just booked the new Feel the Force package and am not sure if I can do both.

Reposting because I think my question got lost in all the excitement. :)

Do they work the FP's for autographs around dining reservations or do you just get a time no matter what?
