Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

Will there still be FPs available for Bulloch around 6 AM, in your opinion? Just wondering if we get there a little later will help us out with that.

I would say yes, but if he's a high priority for you I wouldn't risk it...

Argh this has reminded me - Chewie!

Really want to meet him. We're doing two days at SWW and the character breakfast and dinner.
Problem is that our second SWW day won't be from the start as we are going to be at the opening of the MK 24 hour party!

How is best to see Chewbacca if we are at the breakfast one day, and not at rope drop the second?

Just a reminder because I haven't seen it mentioned for awhile (but I know it has been discussed!), for 1st time SWW planners, traditionally they will begin letting guests enter the park ahead of the posted opening time. I don't recall exact timing, but it seems like maybe 15-20 minutes early. This may or may not happen again, just don't be surprised if you show up at 7:50 and people are already entering the park! :)

Best way is to skip the parade and line up while people are waiting for that... it'll still be a long line, maybe 45 minutes, but most people will go to watch the parade

I guess that's likely to be our best option. I was planning to watch the parade once with the long wait with good spot and once at the hat, but if we skip one to meet Chewbacca then that's probably the best reason!

I know this is probably on here somewhere, but.... I have a ressie @ Sci-fi for 8:10 am on a non SWW day. Is it possible to sign my child up for Jedi Training after breakfast or should I just run through the crowds on a SWW day? I know these slots go fast, so I'm looking for a best case scenario...

You're welcome. Where does Chewie usually meet? Closer to ABC or to SciFi?

Sci fi. It's faster to walk by ABC commissary than go thru Star Tours

Welcome to the Dis!!
You can try after breakfast on a non sww day, that would be easier

As long as it isn't an EMH morning, you can send an adult with the child to go sign-up and then return to SciFi. On the restaurant board, they're estimating the breakfast to last at least an hour for the characters to make their way around.

Actually, if you are an onsite resort guest and it is EMH, you can sign-up before your breakfast. Just send an adult to check-in at SciFi.

I just realized I booked the Feel the Force package for the night of the 24 hour event at MK that I think DS would enjoy. I'm so upset with myself, I would have done it on the Saturday night instead if I had realized! Now we have to decide which we would rather do, the Feel the Force or the 24 hour event (he's too young to leave the HS after fireworks and go to MK). I'm wondering if we could leave HS, go back and rest, then hit MK from 3-8 and then go back to HS for the firework party?

One more question - what time does Chewie start meeting usually?
I believe that last year his set started around 8:15am but there where reports that some days he would come earlier...

Yes, you could do the parade with the FTF package, leave and come back for the Fireworks

I have some concern about doing the parade with Feel the Force and then being in time to get in line for Hamill/Park/Williams in Stars of the Saga, but that will have to wait until we know the actual schedule.
