Official Star Wars Weekends 2013 Tips and Tricks

Wondering how my planning will work out! What time do i have to be at park for JTA 730 am is my goal! Plan is me an my 4 boys get in line for JTA while mom goes to get FP for TSM an then meet mom an ride on TSM will line be to long to ride by then? Then hit RNRC an tower of terror! Wanna hit all big rides right after rope drop an then meet some star wars characters! Any pointers? Thanks!!

Last year we arrived at about 0730 on 2 different days as the park was opening and got an afternoon JTA slot. My hubby went for TSM FP while we were in line and we lucked out and got 2nd TSM FP before they were out. For us it was a priority to see the SWW characters so we went to them first. I would hold off on TOT and grab FP for it and see the characters first.

If we are there at rope drop, sign kids up for PMC first thing (while DH runs for TSMM fastpasses) then immediately get in the Fab 4 line, how long will the wait be? Which of the Fab 4 will be out for that first session? Is there any consistency? DS11 really wants to get a photo with Stormtrooper Donald, but doesn't much care about the others.

Or, would we be better off going to Chewbacca's line first, even though he doesn't come out until 8:30 and the Fab 4 are out at 8? Or Darth Maul?

Sorry for all of the questions. Trying to formulate the best game plan.

This is what I would do:
Rope drop sign kids up for PMC while DH grabs TSMM
Go with kids to line up for Disney SW characters (I saw Darth Goofy come out first at 8am) maybe Stormtrooper Donald will join.
While in line for Disney SW send DH to get in line for Chewbacca.
Meet DH after getting pictures with Stormtrooper Donald
Go meet Darth Maul

Got in line for Fab 4 at 9:45. Rotation at 10 was all four then they went in and Mickey/ Minnie came back out. By 10:30 it was goofy & donald and the line was closed about 10 groups behind us.

tomorrow I'll be there early (husband got scheduled to work at 7:15am at backlot tour) so we'll grab a fps to meet Ashley Eckstein and then won't really have anything to do....so I can just sit by where the Disney SW group meets and get a better idea of their schedule and I'll post it live...

And for anyone going tomorrow I'll be wearing the new Her Universe purple Padme shirt, my DD will be wearing the Rouge Squadron Dress, come say Hi if you see us. Our only plan for tomorrow is meet Ashley, watch Behind the Force, An Ewok Tale and Stars of the Saga.

Jim Cummings was taking do much time with people. He quickly ran behind. 10:35 is when dh saw himand the fp was for 10:05. Just at him, they limited it to one autograph to try to speed things up. People were having him sign 5 to 6 things before them. Not sure how things went after we left that area.

I agree with this strategy. Fab 4 start earlier. Though this morning we met Leia Minnie by herself at around 8:10.

It is just DS and I, so look for a 10 year old probably dressed in Adidas from head to toe and a tall blonde mom with a huge pink backpack (Music City Mama can vouch for finding me this way last year!! We ended up in the same Sci Fi car together at lunch! ). I don't do the lime green mickey head, but trust me, you can't miss the neon pink backpack

Dropped kids right at front gate about 4:40 am. Line for Ray Park. Number 10 and 11 on STAND BY! Not sure they will stay now. Plus was they saw the opening, were on first Star Tours, shopped the Maul, met the characters, got a Darth Vader cupcake and enjoying a not crowded park so far. Oh they will have a fastpass ticket and wristband as their souvenir.

Does anyone know if this is how it was last weekend? Planning on getting in this line on Sunday, 6/9, but I need an Ewok and don't want to go there first thing if Ewoks don't come out until later.

Ewok's story with Warick Davis queue is already pretty full 1 hour prior to show time!

Behind the force voices show with Jim Cummings was really fun! He went thru all the voices he's done and even sang part of Be Prepared from Lion King and I could swear it was Jeremy Irons! Awesome!

A quick recap of our morning...

Got up at 4:30 and checked the Dis. Saw we likely wouldn't get Warwick autograph today so we slept for another hour. Hit the lines about 6:25 or so and got FP for Jim Cummings at 3:20. Wristbands around 6:45 (forgot to check the time). FP started a bit after 7. Turnstiles opened between 7:25 and 7:30, then Stormtroopers for 10'ish minutes at tip board. Rode TSM then got FP for it.

Met Leia Minnie (she was alone) at about 8:10-8:15. Went over to Chip and Dale's Ewok line. They came out at around 8:30 (give or take) - earlier than we expected! We then did Star Tours (10 minute standby) and headed back to Fab 4 line.

That line is our Waterloo, I swear. We got in thinking Goofy and Donald (Mickey and Minnie were out). Line moved so slow! Then all 4 came out together around 9:40'ish. The family in front of us (of about 15 people) was the last to get all 4 together. We ended up with Mickey and Minnie together. It was about 10:10 by the time we cleared that line. Used our TSM FP then bee lined to the front.

Sun was scorching and people were pouring in. At 10:45, we decided to skip the motorcade and take boat to EPCOT for lunch. On boat back now. Planning to see Jim C this pm, watch Visit to the Maul, and maybe hit Darth's Mall before lining up for Hoopla. Also going to look for some Jawas.

we are getting in on the 7th and probably wont hit DHS till sat. Mainly because DS6 and I will land at 2 but my sister wont land till 6 so if DS and I go to DHS without her whatever we do we would probably have to redo the next day...unless we just wandered around a bit...we'll see

hello, this is our first star wars weekend. We want to sign up our DS for the Jedi in Training and plan to arrive at 6:30am. From what I can understand, I have to bring him and line up with me to do this right? And how would I know where to line up? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
