You know what, do the Jawas carry around pins or Vinylmation? Bit of a long stretch but possible :lmao:

This will be our 1st Disney trip and we planned it around SWW mainly for my 6 year old (who thinks he is Obi-Wan Kenobi :worship:). My question is what activities should we focus on 1st for my 6 year old because we will also have our 2 year old and I doubt we will be able to stand in lines all day because of him:stitch2:. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to look at old SWW guides and see the activities that were offered in the past. We probably won't know this year's activities for sure until right before SWW or on that first day.

Is he a SW fan or a CW fan or both? Would he like to see the fav 4 dressed as SW characters?

Definitely be there at least 45 min before opening and go directly to JTA sign up. Send someone else to get FP for TSM. Then if you want to meet a couple characters, decide ahead of time who you want to take time to meet. We found character lines to be longer than we expected and our baby wasn't really happy being in a stroller most of the day.
Can't wait to see Hyperspace hoopla - was rained out last year.

Thanks for the info. He likes both but he is a bigger SW fan. I think he would like to see the fav 4 dressed as SW characters but I know he would really like to see the real characters.

Thanks for the tips! What is TSM? I'm still trying to figure out abbreviations :rotfl2:

I thought I read somewhere that they give out FP for the character meet and greet...is this true and if so do you get those before HS opens?

No and no. FPs are for celebrity appearances, not for character M&Gs.

Oh, so does SW characters account for celebrity appearances?

No. Celebrities are actors who appear in the films or series: Peter Mayhew, Ray Park, Ashley Eckstein, James Arnold Taylor, or Jake Lloyd to name a few. Characters are Chewbacca, Maul, Vader, etc.

Sorry to keep quoting you but I just want to be fully informed :goodvibes. I really really appreciate you answering my questions. How do you know if any of the actors will be there? This would be a dream come true for my 6 yo if he could meet any of the actors from SW!

There are some there every year. Other than JAT and AE I mentioned no particular ones are guaranteed. Ray Park is a regular in recent years. They won't be officially announced until about a month before.

The celebs by week are announced in advance. If you want to meet them then you need to be at the parks several hours before opening so Disney transportation is not an option for those.

A 2 part question - First, we are going to be there over the first weekend. Would you recommend trying to go on Friday or Sunday?
Second - I'd really like to get my 6 year old sign into JTA. I know even on normal days it's necessary to hustle over there at RD to get a spot. How early do you think we'll need to arrive on a SWW day to be sure he gets a slot in JTA?
Thanks.

Friday is probably slightly better than Sunday, but not by much. Lines for Limited Edition merch on Friday will be very long.

For JTA, at park open should be fine. There are additional shows with higher capacity to handle the higher demand.

Hi! I've started reading this thread but haven't gone all the way through it so if this has been asked already my apologies! Are adults allowed to wear Star Wars costumes during Star Wars weekends? I want to make a Padme Amidala costume to wear but won't bother if I'll likely be turned away.

Thanks!

Has anyone gone around the end of May/June time frame?? I have been hearing about gay days and I am in NO way against or discriminatory against anyone's martial status. Its just I've been "hearing" there is a lot of PDA and lets be honest straight or gay I don't like large affections of PDA from anyone. You know a hug or a peck on the cheek or lips is perfect. I have several friends who are gay/lesbian and you would never know it. They don't like the PDA either. NOT trying to start anything to please keep it clean. I am more asking for are the crowds higher because there might be a larger amount of groups entering??
